Carlisle Bay Overview

Located upon the southern coast of Antigua, Carlisle Bay is surrounded by verdant hills of forestry in a secluded and picturesque bay. St. Johns, the island's capital, is a mere thirty minute drive away, allowing you to enjoy everything it has to offer whilst being a fair way removed from the bustling activity of the place. You’ll definitely enjoy the isolation of Carlisle Bay.

The rooms are furnished to an exceptionally high standard, with calming interiors of a contemporary feel and either a balcony or a terrace providing views out onto the Caribbean Sea. You’ll dine at one of the two excellent restaurants, pamper yourself at the spa and receive the warmest of welcomes from magnificent staff.

Along with the unequivocal luxury of the place, there’s a lot to enjoy in Carlisle Bay. With nine tennis courts (rackets, ball machine and shoes all complimentary) you’ll be offered professional tuition for all age groups and skill levels.

At the ‘Blue Spa’ you’ll experience total serenity in one of the six luxury treatment rooms or the couple’s treatment room. Relax in the sauna or take a plunge in the plunge pool. There’s a hair salon that’ll get you ready for an elegant evening in the restaurant, or just recline at your pleasure in the chill out zone. Additionally there’s a state-of-the-art gym with the most updated equipment as well as a personal trainer to cater to your individual fitness needs.

There are a number of notable non-motorised water-sport activities to be enjoyed, with Hobie Cat sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and snorkelling. Discover the reef formations of the Caribbean Sea on boat or by snorkel! Alternatively, let PADI professionals guide you through the waters of Cades Reef.

Open seven days a week the ‘Cool Kids Club’ has an air-conditioned centre and is fully fitted with a sandpit, paddling pool, terrace, jungle gym and a set of four mini-tennis courts surrounded by the plush environs of the hotel’s gardens.

Carlisle Bay Accommodation

Garden Suites – Spacious, split-level, open plan bedroom/sitting room. Garden Suites have king-size beds and sleep up to two adults.

Ocean Suites – Spacious, split-level, open plan bedroom/sitting room. Garden Suites have king-size beds and sleep up to two adults. Connecting Ocean Suites are available and are ideal for families with older/teenage children.

Beach Balcony Suite – Bedroom with king-size bed and sitting area plus a separate study or second bedroom with twin beds and balcony (upper level). Beach Balcony Suites sleep up to three adults, or two adults and two children aged between six and fifteen.

Beach Terrace Suite – Bedroom with king-size bed and sitting area plus a separate study or second bedroom with twin beds and terrace (ground level). Beach Terrace Suites sleep up to three adults, or two adults and two children up to the age of fifteen.

Carlisle Suite A – Three double bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one with twin beds – all en suite, large sitting room and kitchen. Both the sitting room and the Master Bedroom open out onto the double width beachfront balcony. Carlisle Suites sleep up to six adults or can take up to two adults and four children.

Carlisle Suite B – Three double bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one with twin beds – all en suite, large sitting room and kitchen. Carlisle Suites sleep up to six adults or can take up to two adults and four children. Two of the three double bedrooms and the sitting room open out onto the spacious L-shaped, beachfront balcony or terrace.

Carlisle Bay Restaurants & Bars

Carlisle Bay has two fabulous restaurants –

Indigo on the Beach - Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering delicious healthy grills, barbeques, seafood and salads.

East - Open for dinner only serving exciting pan-Asian food in a stunning contemporary setting.

The hotel has three bars including the relaxing Indigo on the Beach Bar with juices, afternoon tea and cocktails, the Pavilion Bar opposite East with piano or jazz music every evening and the informal Jetty Bar with views along the beach.
