The Verandah Overview

The Verandah is a family friendly one hundred and seventy-five room luxury resort. Located on thirty acres of this tropical landscape at the northeast of the island, The Verandah immerses you in truly idyllic surroundings. This beauty is punctuated by the fact that it’s opposite a designated National Park where visitors can take a nature trail to fully realise the natural splendour of a holiday in Antigua.

For a piece of history visit the Devils Bridge, which is a mere walk away, and for more natural wonder try the sanctuaries of Bird Island and Green Island which are accessible via boat.

The resort has been designed with the environment in mind. Awaiting the accolade of a ‘Green Hotel’ certification, this eco-friendly property doesn’t sacrifice luxury. With a thirty acre land mass there’s only twelve acres of which the property occupies, offering a spacious environment in which to roam. Vast amounts of space like this equate to vast luxury, and that’s what you’ll find.

Non-motorised watersports are complimentary, and you’ll enjoy such activities like snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing and kayaking. Meanwhile, the equipment you need is available at the Water Sports Centre.

The resort offers the use of three free-form pools; one designed for kids in mind, the second is used as the main pool, while the third can only be accessed by adults. But at The Verandah activities abound with two tennis courts, fitness centre, yoga and aerobic classes, volleyball, soccer, cricket, Hobbie Cat sailing, paddle boating, and the racing of kayaks.
