Tryp Peninsula Overview
Recently acquired by international hotelier group Sol Melia, the all-inclusive Tryp Peninsula Varadero sits in an idyllic seafront location in Cuba's Punta Hicacos natural park.
Perfectly integrated into the stunning surrounding landscape, set amongst perfect landscaped gardens the resort has one of Cuba's finest and most famed beaches on its doorstep. The peninsula itself pokes out into the Gulf of Mexico's emerald waters, and is practically spitting distance from Florida's Key West.
The hotel boasts an incredible range of activities to get stuck into. Watersports include windsurfing, kayaking, sailing (including catamaran sailing), water polo and water-skiing, as well as snorkelling and diving classes for beginners. There's no let-up on dry land either as guests can partake in beach volleyball, archery, use the shooting range or play tennis, boule, ping-pong, pool and dancing classes, as well as karaoke and disco for the night owls.
There are three swimming pools in amongst the resort's beautiful greenery, and an exclusive fitness centre which offers sauna, aerobics, hydromassage and the delectable Turkish bath for ultimate relaxation. The Cubans certainly know how to make you feel welcome, too, with a vibrant buzz in each of the a la carte restaurants on-site.
