Holidays to Gernada
Among the experiences awaiting tourists in Caribbean waters Grenada Holidays are perhaps some of the most unjustifiably overlooked. Grenada has rebuilt itself after a devastating hurricane in 2004 (the first for 40 years) as a spectacular resort island rivalling its sometimes more recognisable neighbours. The usual mix of waterfront beauty and activity is the first satisfying part of the Grenada holiday package. A trip below the waves will reward the inquisitive diver with several fantastic reefs and the bizarre underwater sculpture park in Molinere Bay. Grenada actually consists of seven islands, only the main being called ‘Grenada’. The outlying islands provide their own treats and are fantastic escapes to unspoilt swatches of land.

An hour outside the capital, St George, is an authentic 17th Century plantation called The Belmont Estate that gives insights into the Caribbean’s colonial past. A number of forts are also scattered throughout the island, combining a little history with some spectacular views. And why not round off your holiday to Grenada with a trip to a nutmeg factory?
