Lovely atmosphere!

The people were amazing and I enjoyed every minute of the Caribbean sea and sun. The italian restaurant was really good - me and the family went there more than once! Also the nightly entertainment means that we never had to go outside the resort for something to watch!!

Holiday in the Sun!
by penny, stay date: 17 Nov 2010
Having been my first trip to the West Indies, Jamaica and the Sandals Whitehouse was a great first holiday stop. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a butler suite upon arrival, and this really added an extra dimension of fun to the holiday. The resort is large in size with some walking distances to the restaurants & bars etc from the room, however there are buggies that operate on the resort which made long distances easier. The resort is divided into 3 sections – Italian, French and Dutch quarters. Each quarter is surrounded by vast tropical gardens and features their own pool AND the white sandy beach is just a few further steps away. The beach is vast and also features private beach cabañas where couples or families can rent the cabaña for anything from a few hours to the whole day and have a secured spot on the beach. You can also order refreshments to be brought to you throughout the rented time. Back to the Butler suite – which was a great experience. Each room is assigned 2 personal butlers, who took me to the room where I completed my check in. They also provided me with a phone, so I could contact them at any time for anything I needed. The butler staff are very friendly and always check to see if everything is all right. The restaurants are vast and fantastic- there is a lot of variety available. By far the best place to breakfast is Eleanor’s – a small menu – but some great options – like a glass of bucks fizz to go with eggs benedict!! The other favourite for the afternoon was the Café de Paris – which is great for a refreshing cup of tea and a cake…especially after spending a lot of time on the beach. Evening entertainment is also a lot of fun. The resort hosted themed nights, with live entertainment in front of the beach. The piano bar is also a lot of fun, with live music from local bands. I would recommend this hotel for couples mainly, but also for families either with very young children or teens that are independent. The hotel is vast in size, and can feel very tranquil. There also were many land and water sports on offer for the kids and kids at heart!
