The hotel blends the arches and open spaces of traditional Arabian architecture with the conveniences of modern construction to provide a unique oasis in the heart of the city. Guest rooms are distributed among three, five-story wings that arc around a complex of pools, pathways, and smaller buildings that house dozens of shops, restaurants, and recreational venues. Guests will also find a state-of-the-art spa in a day-lit atrium at the heart of the hotel. Reminiscent of the ancient bath houses of Constantinople, the facility features several man-made caves where guests can enjoy a steam room, a sauna, and a variety of temperature-controlled mineral baths. The spa also offers several types of massage, including Oriental, seaweed, and lymphatic therapies. For working travelers, the hotel's meeting and conference facilities can handle everything from small board meetings to special events for up to 1,000 people.
