Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort offers many opportunities to experience the unique natural wonders of Borneo. The Nature Reserve with an Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre is the first of its kind in Sabah and offers a glimpse into Borneo's tropical forests. Encompassing 64 acres within the resort, the Nature Reserve is a conservation effort between the Sabah State Wildlife Department and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. The Reserve is aimed primarily at nature conservation and Orang Utan rehabilitation, with research, study and education activities carried out as well. Among the activities available within the Reserve are the Nature Walks with professional rangers, Nocturnal Animal Watch Bird Watching, Mini Canopy Walk and In Search of Orang Utans.
For golf enthusiasts, the superbly sculptured 18-hole course at Dalit Bay Golf Club & Spa offers a stimulating playing experience whilst experiencing the natural beauty of Sabah. The hotel offers a variety of scheduled sports for water enthusiasts such as kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, river excursions, water skiing, windsurfing and many more.
