Things to do whilst on holiday
Experience the heady heights with a trip on the cable car and sky view to the apex of Gunung Machinchang. Once you’ve made it to the top you’ll have spectacular panoramas of the island and surrounding mountainside.
Submerge yourself at the amazing Underwater World, Malaysia’s biggest aquarium and one of the islands best attractions. You can experience over 200 species of marine life in the Tropical Rainforest, Temperate and Sub –Antarctic zones.
Take a boat trip to one of the smaller Islands just off Langkawi for some super snorkelling in the calm and shallow waters where you will find tropical reef fish, colourful angelfish, beautiful butterfly fish and even baby black tip sharks!
Try taking a hike to The Seven Wells Waterfalls where a reasonable uphill trek comes to fruition when you discover a series of lovely waterfalls flowing down Mat Cincang Mountain to create seven individuals pools. Don’t forget your swimming costumes to bathe in their cool waters or have a picnic overlooking some spectacular views.
Weather
With temperatures remaining fairly consistent between 23°C and 32°C it really is a perfect island to visit any time of the year. Even during rainy season (September to mid November) there is only about 2 hours of rain. This usually consists of sunny mornings and early afternoon with rain in the latter part of the afternoon - the perfect time for a cocktail at the bar.
