Things to do whilst on holiday
Shopping is undoubtedly one of Singapore’s major attractions with an abundance of boutique shops, bustling markets and designer stores that would rival Paris, New York and Milan! For shopping that breaks from conformity, take a trip to the newly transformed Haji Lane. This quaint shopping lane in the centre of the Muslim quarter is a quirkier version of the designer stores in Orchard Lane. With a mix of shabby chic, home accessories and tailored clothes, you're certain to find something just that little bit different.
See Singapore from the heights with a spherical experience on their answer to the London Eye - The Singapore Flyer! You will get fantastic views of the whole city in a 30-minute trip on the world’s second largest observation wheel (behind Beijing). The best time to go is at dusk where you can see the suns light slowly fade to be replaced by the bright lights of the big city.
For a more spiritual experience and one that’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time, take a trip to Little India where you can experience churches, mosques and temples all in the one neighbourhood. If you are in high spirits and in the mood for a night on the tiles then make sure you visit Zouk nightclub. With a warren of dance floors to ‘boogie on down’ to some great anthems, it’s the best possible way to end your night.
