Holidays to Hue

Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a holiday in Hue will take you to a city steeped in history, and surrounded by staggering natural beauty. This, the former capital of Vietnam, is one of the most beautiful places in the country, where you can take in the delights of urban Asia on one day, and relax on the nearby beaches the next. From visiting the Imperial Palace, to wandering through the impressive ancient tombs of Vietnam’s last great dynasty, here you will have no shortage of things to see and do.

Great reasons to holiday in Hue

  • The more serene spot of Vietnam, perfect for relaxation and indulgence

Things to do whilst on holiday

With a peak of over 1,450 meters, the Bach Ma National Park will offer you stunning views of the coastline and a rich biodiversity in this protected area of Vietnam. You will find rare plants and flora and the home to over 40 species of mammals.

The pagodas, tombs and temples are one of the main tourist attractions in Hue and there are so many to see. Some of the most popular are the Thahn Mu Pagoda, and the tombs of emperors such as Tuc Duc and Ming Mang.

If you’re feeling the heat then a trip to the Thahn Tan Springs is a great place to cool off. With several hot and cold springs there is also a number of waterslides and even a massage pool to relax and unwind.

If you fancy a city tour with a difference then why not hire some bikes and take the cycle tour. You can take in all the sights and sounds which culminate in a trip to the majestic tombs from a bygone royal era.

Although the nightlife in Hue can't be considered as lively as Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi you can still enjoy the laid back cafes and outside bars where you’ll have the pleasure to acquaint some of the friendly locals.

Weather

With its tropical climate, the weather in Hue is divided into two seasons. The dry season is from March to August with temperatures hitting a maximum of 40 C and the rainy season is from September to February with lows of 20 C.
