Located on Grey Street, adjacent to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and within walking distance to the Queensland Performing Arts Complex, the State Art Gallery and the Museum, Saville South Bank is perfectly located to attract both corporate and leisure travellers. Open daily for breakfast lunch and dinner, Stone Restaurant and Bar is a contemporary dining space, featuring a selection of entrees, an offering of shared plates and an inventive dessert menu. Accommodations
The Saville South Bank comprises 161 studios and apartments located on floors 2–7. Studios are equipped with basic kitchens, and full kitchens are standard in the apartments. Work desks with data ports and high-speed Internet access (surcharge) are available in all guestrooms, as are plunger coffee makers, DVD players, and CD-stereo players. Newspapers and extra towels are available on request. Windows open on floors 4–7 only.
Restaurants & Bars
Stone Restaurant and Bar - Chic design with floor-to-ceiling stone-clad walls, elevated ceiling line, and huge windows overlooking the streetscape. Indoor and alfresco dining. Open from early morning until late. All-day dining includes afternoon tea and after-dinner snacks. Buffet and à la carte breakfast. À la carte service for lunch and dinner. Snacks, light meals, coffee/tea, and a wide range of beverages including cocktails also available. Menu features modern Australian food and innovative share platters. Also popular for after-show dining. A TV is positioned in the bar for major sports and news coverage.
Activities
The Saville South Bank has an outdoor, 20-metre heated pool and spa tub located on level two. On the same floor is the fitness centre with a good range of exercise machines (of which there are two or more of most). The fitness centre can be accessed via room swipe key.
South Bank Parklands is located across the road, overlooking the Brisbane River, and comprises 17 acres of gardens and lawns. Highlights include three playgrounds, 14 barbecues (free of charge), covered picnic tables, artificial beach and swimming lagoon, designated bicycle and skateboard areas, the Clem Jones Promenade (for cycling, walking and jogging), and a one-kilometre arbour-walkway covered with magenta bougainvillea plants.
