A glass wall and natural light accentuate the vast atrium lobby, which includes contemporary bench seating and a lounge area. The sound of trickling water emanates from two shallow, dark-stone pools with spot-lit fountains. All guests, from overseas tourists, to couples, older families, and business delegates are greeted by porters, assisting guests with luggage. The lobby also houses a tour office. Shangri-La hotel, The Marina, Cairns is built within a complex that also offers retail outlets, banking ATMs, restaurants, and gift shops. Three elevators transfer guests across four floors to access 256 guestrooms, a club lounge, meeting rooms, and business facilities.

TIDES BLD + BAR - Located at lobby level, overlooking the Marina, the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner from early morning till late. Dining includes a buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch menu, and Australasian cuisine for dinner. Japanese buffet is also available. Alfresco dining on the deck offers views of the marina and mountains. Open kitchens allow guests to view chef activity, and the bar serves a selection of wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails, along with light snacks.
Pool Bar - At level one, adjacent to the swimming pool area, the bar provides a range of cocktails, other beverages, and light snacks, from late morning till early evening.
