Hermitage Bay Hotel in Antigua is a resort with a difference - just twenty five individual, luxury Cottage Suites landscaped into the natural beauty of a perfect bay and hillside of tropical gardens.
A few years ago a spectacularly beautiful hidden bay was discovered in one of the most secluded corners of the island, which had been in private ownership for over a hundred years.
Twenty-five private, secluded and extraordinarily spacious Cottage Suites have now been built to blend into the natural landscape with nothing else but your comfort in mind. They nestle on a spectacular private bay of beautiful white sand against a backdrop of terraced hillside gardens.
The resort staff have been carefully selected for their friendliness, efficiency and attentiveness. Their job is to provide discreet and outstanding service, making sure that you have everything you need at all times during your stay.
Accommodations
Each of the spacious, single-roofed Cottage Suites captures the old world charm of the island's colonial past, yet has all the amenities of a modern-day, luxury resort.
The eight Beach Cottages are right on the beach, just steps away from the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
A little higher up the hillside, the Hillside Cottages nestle in tropical, landscaped gardens, each with their own plunge pool and fantastic view of the sea.
All the Cottage Suites are extraordinarily spacious, detached and air-conditioned. Each has a large living and sleeping area opening onto a full-length decked veranda with uninterrupted sea view, and a luxurious bathroom with an indoor bath positioned so you can relax with a view of the sea and an outdoor, garden shower. In addition, each suite is fitted with LCD TV, DVD player, iPod dock and broadband internet access.
Restaurants & Bars
To complete the ultimate package, they have found a superb chef who can deliver the kind of food everyone enjoys - delicious and made from fresh, natural ingredients.
The beachfront restaurant now boasts some of the best food on the island. Under the direction of the head chef it offers a varied menu of both Caribbean favourites and modern European cooking with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The restaurant's idyllic location makes it the perfect choice for al fresco dining but they are just as happy to serve your meal in the privacy of your Cottage Suite or by the pool if you prefer.
Activities
Water Sports - The use of water sports equipment and any tuition are provided on a complimentary basis, and include double and single sea kayaks, windsurfing, snorkelling, sunfish and hobie cat sailing. To preserve the peace and tranquillity at Hermitage Bay we do not offer or encourage motorised water sports.
Spa - Guests staying a minimum of 3 nights are each offered a complimentary 30 minutes massage. Additional Spa services are available daily at an additional cost.
Transfer - Airport transfers are provided for arriving and departing guests.
Children - They do not accept children under the age of 12, except for the period July 1st to August 31st when they accept children aged 8 and above. Children may share with two adults in the Beach Cottage Suites, maximum of one child per suite.
Weddings and Honeymoons - Wedding, Vow Renewal & Honeymoon Packages are available upon request.
Location - 35 minutes drive from V.C. Bird International Airport, 20 minutes drive from the capital city of St. John's, Antigua, 5 minutes drive from Jolly Harbour Marina and Golf Course.
