Description / Location

Amaryllis is situated in the Garrison Historic Area directly on Palm Beach (South Coast of the island), off the main road. It is set on 5.5 acres of prime beachfront property with 150 metres of white, sandy beach. Enjoy safe swimming and snorkelling or take a stroll along the nature walk in their lovely tropical gardens. Located 1.5 miles from Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados and 10 miles from Grantley Adams International Airport.

A dense garden borders the lobby entrance. Botanical signs identify plantings, some of which shade two-person swings. Breakwaters create a calm-water swimming cove along the beach. Use of kayaks, pedal boats, and snorkelling gear is complimentary. Two family pools, a children's pool, and a 10-person spa tub provide freshwater fun. The resort's Barbadian-style village includes a gym, restaurant, coffee shop, slot-machine/video-poker room, and bar/grill with computerized golf cage and video games, all in traditional pastel buildings.

Amaryllis Beach Resort is part owner of the 18-hole championship Barbados Golf Club, a 15-minute drive away.

Accommodations

This resort offers 150 guestrooms and suites in four pale-yellow three- and four-story buildings, two with elevators. Balconies and patios, furnished with cushioned chairs and cocktail tables, face the garden or ocean. Televisions offer U.S./International cable channels. Decor includes tile floors, floral fabrics, and rattan furniture. Prohibited in public areas and guestrooms, smoking is permitted only on balconies or patios.

Standard Hotel Rooms offer - twin or king beds, have telephone (international direct dial) with computer outlet; television (cable); central air conditioning (with individual controls); private bathroom with tub or shower; small fridge; coffee maker (coffee available for purchase in the Convenience Store); hair dryer; clock radio; ironing kit; in-room safe (additional charge); patio or balcony; garden view or oceanfront.
Studios offer same facilities as Hotel Rooms plus a kitchenette (equipped with two burner stove top and microwave, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery & crockery, refrigerator); patio or balcony; garden view or oceanfront.
Deluxe Studios offer same facilities as a Studio. More spacious room and includes a small dining room table and room to hold a rollaway bed for a third person.
One-bedroom Suites offer same facilities as a Deluxe Studio. Includes a king bed in a
separate bedroom (with TV) and sofa-bed in the living room. all include a patio or balcony,
garden view or oceanfront.

Restaurants & Bars

Almond Tree - Open-air restaurant with beachfront terrace. Buffet breakfast. Open for buffet lunch depending on resort occupancy. Open five nights weekly for buffet or à la carte dinners. International cuisine.
Turtle Nest Beach Bar - Open-air, ocean-view bar. Open late morning for lunch/snacks and bar service, with varying closing hours. Open for dinner when Almond Tree is closed. Weekly beach-barbecue dinner buffet.
Pool Bar - Located in Almond Tree restaurant. Bar service from late morning to late night five days weekly. Closes mid-afternoon two days weekly.
