5* Cobblers Cove
Description / Location
Thick, tall, tropical plantings screen buildings and create the tranquil privacy that attracts couples here. At night, candles in the resort's seafront restaurant and strategically placed lights cast a warm, romantic glow. Lined with coral boulders, the resort's sea frontage extends 45.8 meters (150 yards) and leads to an adjacent 76-meter (250-yard) beach and a section furnished with thickly cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are also available on a grass terrace. A deck surrounding a 16.7-meter-long (55-foot-long) kidney-shaped pool provides another sunbathing area. Water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, and snorkeling are complimentary.
Accommodations
The resort offers 40 guest suites in six two-story white buildings with green trim, and in the three-story pink Plantation House built in the 1960s. Suites have balconies or ground-floor patios accessible through louvered doors and furnished with cushioned reclining chairs, footstools, and cocktail tables. Ceiling fans cool living rooms, and bedrooms, also with ceiling fans, have air conditioners. Living rooms contain sofa beds, wing chairs, two-chair dining sets, coffee tables, and desks--all ivory-colored rattan--and wet bars. Bedrooms have caramel-colored rattan furniture and white bedspreads. Walls throughout are cream-colored, ceilings white, and floors terra-cotta tile accented by straw area mats. Bathrooms contain twin-sink marble vanities and shower/tub combinations, with bathrobes available. The resort is designed for rest and relaxation. Suites contain no televisions, radios, CD/DVD players, or VCRs. All are available on request.
