Terraced from a low bluff to the ocean, this hotel draws couples, singles, and families looking for uncomplicated beach holidays, casual dining, and beachfront-bar socializing. Amenity highlights: Measuring approximately 100 x 60 meters (109 x 65 yards), a beach of ivory-colored sand leads to the ocean, where breakwaters and reefs prevent large waves from disturbing swimming. The resort offers one complimentary snorkeling safari per person per stay; a marine education program, and fish feeding. Snorkel gear can be rented at US$8 per day (fee subject to change). A swimming pool, a children’s pool and a jacuzzi face the shore.
Accommodations
This resort offers 120 guestrooms in three-to-five-story pastel-green buildings without elevators. Furnished balconies or patios face the ocean. Tropical decor includes tile floors, rattan furniture, and floral fabrics. Room amenities include: air conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, ensuite bathroom with shower (no tubs), hair dryer, telephone, AM/FM radio, safe and iron/ironing board.
Restaurants & Bars
The Deck - Open-air beachfront restaurant with weathered-wood floor and poolside tables on the sundeck. Buffet breakfast. Lunch choices such as shepherd's pie, quiche, pizza, pasta, flying fish and chips, salads, burgers. Dinner choices such as vegetable samosas, fish cakes, prawns in garlic sauce, barbecued pork ribs, catch of the day, and sirloin steak. Tuesday night poolside barbecue buffet. Complimentary weekly Manager’s rum-punch party. Rum Shoppe - Open-air bar adjacent to The Deck. Tropical drinks, local beer. Open mid-morning to late night, with happy hours daily except Tuesday.
The Sea Grape Bar - Small, multicolored wooden structure located at beach. Open mid-morning to early evening.
Activities
The resort faces a beach measuring approximately 100 x 60 m (109 x 65 yds). Breakwaters and reefs create calm-water swimming in most weather. Snorkel gear can be rented at US$8 per day (fee subject to change). A 12 x 6-meter (40 x 20-foot) beachfront pool is surrounded by a sundeck with lounge chairs. A 10-person spa tub and a small children's pool are adjacent. The games room contains a Ping-Pong table and a coin-operated pool table. Guests are offered discounts at the Rockley Golf Club, 3 km (2 mi) away.
