Description / Location

Offering lots of children's facilities and various adults-only facilities, this hotel is spacious enough to accommodate both children and grownups without one interfering with the other's pleasure. Helped by a policy that allows up to two children age 12 or younger to stay for no extra charge when they occupy the same room as two guests paying adult rates, the resort primarily attracts families seeking active holidays; but it also serves couples seeking rest and relaxation. Terraced above the beach are two pools, one in the shape of a half-circle and the other a 37 x 21 meter (120 x 70 foot) rectangle. Elevated one floor above the lobby level, a 23 x 14 meter (75 x 45 foot) pool containing a swim-up bar is flanked by two 20-person spa tubs and provides adults-only tranquility. Showers and steam rooms lie beneath the complex. In addition to the outdoor pools, another pool is sheltered and shaded in a slanted-roof, open-air atrium.

Accommodations

The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at this resort are included in the room rate; guests will not be charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information). This all-inclusive resort offers 618 guestrooms in two white, curved towers, one seven floors high and the other eight floors high. The top three floors in the eight-story building feature Crown Club rooms reserved for adults. All rooms feature ocean-view balconies or patios furnished with chairs and cocktail tables. Decor includes ceramic tile floors, yellow-tone walls, blue-and-yellow fabrics, and marble bathrooms.

La Palapa - Poolside restaurant located in the center of the complex, with both indoor and outdoor seating, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets daily. Dress code: casual.
Wayne's Boots - Steakhouse serving ŕ la carte dinners in a western-themed atmosphere, with line dancing, a mechanical bull, and Western movie scenes. Open six nights. Dress code: long pants or dress shorts, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes for men.
Fifties - Adults-only, linen-service, ocean-view restaurant with dance floor and live music from the '50s and '60s, serving ŕ la carte dinners of international cuisine. Open six nights. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes for men.
Los Gallos - Late-afternoon tea time in this space gives way to linen-service fine dining in the evening. Mexican ŕ la carte dinners. Open six nights. Dress code: long pants or dress shorts, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes for men.
La Piazza - Rustic, ocean-view Italian restaurant serving ŕ la carte dinners. Open six nights. Dress code: long pants or dress shorts, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes for men.
 
Activities

The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information). The Crown Paradise Resort features two oceanfront swimming pools, an adults-only pool, another pool sheltered in a teepee-like, open-air atrium, and a children's pool with three water slides. Guests can enjoy the use of two lighted tennis courts, a small miniature golf course, lawn chess, shuffleboard, aerobics, outdoor yoga, and beach volleyball. A short shuttle ride away, guests can also take advantage of kayaks, small sailboats, paddleboats, and windsurfers at AquaWorld Marina 2 km (just over a mile) away on Nichupté Lagoon, the vast body of placid water lying between Cancún Island and the mainland. Shuttles to the marina are complimentary. Independent operators farther down the beach offer personal watercraft and parasailing (surcharges). The nearest golf course is the 72 par Hilton Cancún Golf Club which is across the street (surcharge).
