Description / Location

Mexican handicrafts, iron chandeliers, and handmade wood furniture set the scene in this resort’s hacienda-style lobby, where guests receive welcome drinks and cool towels at check-in. This family-friendly Tulum resort caters to vacationers looking to leave their cares behind, with everything from 24-hour room service to fun amenities including a beach trampoline and movie theatre. Attractions include an ocean-view pool, dining choices such as a sushi bar and lavish buffets, and a spa with relaxation rooms. Spa services include Swedish, Thai, and hot-stone massage; facials, manicures, and pedicures for men and women; and body polishes (surcharges apply). Spa guests can also enjoy a pre-Columbian temazcal steam bath (surcharge). All guests can dip into the resort’s springwater cenote (natural pool).

Accommodations

The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at the Dreams Tulum Resort are included in the room rate; guests will not be charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information). This all-inclusive resort's 232 guestrooms are spread out in 19 low-rise buildings, 16 of which are grouped in fours around landscaped plazas. Each plaza is named after a Mexican state and features private fountains viewable from garden view rooms. All rooms have private balconies or terraces with table and chairs; and most have hammocks. The Dreams' Mexican hacienda style extends to room decor, with furniture of wrought-iron and wood. Marble bathrooms include a tub or shower, scale, hair dryer, and makeup mirrors.

Restaurants & Bars

Reservations are not required at any of the resort restaurants. A complimentary full hot breakfast is provided each morning, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Pikes Peak Inn Restaurant and Lounge - Casual restaurant. American cuisine includes steak, prime rib, seafood, burgers, and vegetarian entrees. Full bar. Take out available. Open seasonally, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
La Hacienda - Located in the center of the resort complex, this restaurant features white walls, terracotta tile floors, and both high dark-wood ceilings and atrium skylights. Open daily for buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dress code: casual. Different theme dinner every night.
El Charro - This beach restaurant offers snacks during the day and à la carte Mexican regional cuisine in the evening. Open daily. Specialty Mexican Restaurant.
Gohan - Modern Japanese setting for à la carte sushi dining. Nonsmoking. Open nightly for dinner only. Dress code: casual. Specialty Japanese restaurant – Sushi Bar.
Senggigi - Speciality Asian restaurant; Chinese-Thai cuisine in intimate setting. Nonsmoking. Open nightly for à la carte dinner only. Dress code: casual.
Casanova - Specialty Italian restaurant. Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, served à la carte for dinner only. Nonsmoking. Children under 12 are not allowed. Dress code: no shorts, no beach sandals.

Activities

The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).
Privacy abounds on this white-sand beach and with no other hotels within 1.5 km (a mile) in either direction, strolling or laying out on the sand is usually quiet and uncrowded. The resort provides snorkeling equipment for exploring the long coral reef that lies just offshore.
A lighted hard-surface tennis court and two lighted soccer fields, plus a trampoline on the beach are all provided, along with water sports gear such as kayaks, paddleboats, sailboats, boogie boards, and snorkeling equipment. An on-site dive center can arrange PADI certification classes (surcharges) and provides complimentary introductory scuba lessons in the pool.
A nine-hole golf course is located 35 km (22 miles) away in Puerto Aventuras, where there is a full-service marina (dolphins can often be seen playing in the marina’s waters) with a boat launch and charter-fishing boats. Hiking and biking trails, bird-watching sites, and horseback riding stables are also nearby.
