Description / Location

An expansive three-story atrium lobby featuring a gray-marble floor, leather couches, and green plants welcomes guests. Families come for the children's facilities during school holidays, with couples seeking beachfront relaxation predominating during the rest of the year. A huge activity pool includes a raised section containing a shaded swim-up bar. Above this pool and connected by a waterfall is a "quiet" pool surrounded by padded teak lounge chairs, a large children's pool, and palm trees shading more lounge chairs. Three hammock areas also offer shade. Fronting the resort and featuring thatch shades is part of the 10-km (six-mile), powdery white-sand beach running along Cancún Island's eastern shore.

Accommodations

The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at this resort are included in the room rate; guests will not be charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information). The Oasis Playa All Inclusive offers 388 air-conditioned guestrooms in an eight-story building that rises in the shape of a Mayan pyramid. Room decor features gray-marble floors, textured terracotta-colored walls, white ceilings, Mexican-style furniture of dark wood and wrought iron. Ceilings above the dressing/vanity areas are wood. In-room safes are available for daily surcharges.

Restaurants & Bars

Café Coba - Casual, spacious, air-conditioned restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner buffets. International cuisine.
La Galera - Plaza seating at umbrella tables. Pizza/pasta menu for lunch. Mediterranean-Italian menu for ŕ la carte dinner. Reservations required for dinner.
Sarape Grill - Casual, poolside open-air spot under thatch palapa. Rustic bamboo seating. Mexican ŕ la carte menu. Reservations required for dinner.
Swim-up Bar - Open during the day, with music.

Activities

The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for the Oasis Playa (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information). Use of two tennis courts (surcharge for lighted play at night) and a sport court for basketball and soccer is available on site. A water sports desk can lend out boogie boards for the beach. It can also arrange Jet Skiing, parasailing, fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving (surcharges). For complimentary use of kayaks, sailboats, and windsurfers, guests can visit the marina at AquaWorld three km (two miles) away on Nichupté Lagoon, the large, placid body of water lying between Cancún and the mainland. (No complimentary guest transportation is offered to AquaWorld.) Golfers can enjoy rounds on a 9-hole executive golf course at a sister resort, Oasis Cancún, three km (two miles) away. Greens fees are complimentary to hotel guests; golf equipment is available for rent. Cancún also has two 18-hole golf courses. Hilton Cancún Golf Club is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) away and Cancún Golf Club is 12.5 km (eight miles) from the hotel.
