Built in 2000, this Caribbean styled resort, located on the tranquil east side of Grand Cayman, is an easy 45 minute transfer from the Owen Roberts Airport and the capitol George Town. The resort offers a full array of amenities, spacious accommodations and concierge staff at the ready to make any and all arrangements for the guests. With more beachfront than any other resort in the Cayman Islands – 1,600 feet – you’re assured of access to the water. And to the views, of course!
 
Accommodations

Sweeping, unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea are the hallmark of The Reef.  In fact, all of the spacious studio suites and one- and two-bedroom apartments are beachfront. Comfortably furnished and featuring a contemporary island décor, each of these 110 suites and apartments are ready for families and couples alike.
In-room amenities include: air conditioning, cable TV,  DVD player, ceiling fan, fridge, tea/coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board and safe.
Beachfront Studios have a maximum occupancy of 2 people and feature a kitchenette, patio or balcony.
Beachfront Deluxe Studios have a maximum occupancy of 2 people and feature a kitchenette, Whirlpool tub, patio or balcony.
Beachfront One Bedroom Suites have a maximum occupancy of 4 people and feature a full kitchen, patio or balcony.
Beachfront Two Bedroom Suites have a maximum occupancy of 6 people with a full kitchen, patio or balcony.

Restaurants & Bars
 
The Hideaway Beach Bar’s patio area provides lots of dining comfort for its guests. With the addition of ambient lighting and additional patio seating, the atmosphere is ideal for alfresco dining with family and friends. Another wonderful addition to the beach bar area are several palapas located within steps of both the bar and the ocean, where one can wind down on a comfy lounger, in the shade, with one of the refreshing cocktails served directly to you by one of the fun and friendly beach bar staff.

Castaways Restaurant’s seascape is the epitome of a tropical paradise with a superb lookout onto the East End Barrier Reef – after sunset brings fine dining under the Caribbean stars with soft trade winds that hail from across the Caribbean Sea, a little slice of heaven.
 
Activities

Get wet. Get fit. Get a backhand past your opponent. From swimming pools and water sports to volleyball and tennis – and everything in between – recreation reigns supreme at The Reef.

The Reef’s swimming complex features three beautifully landscaped pools, including an infinite edge pool with an adjoining Jacuzzi. A floodlit tennis court lets you serve up a few sets, day or night. And both beach and water volleyball are favourite pastimes here as well.

Through local tour and activity providers you can take part in a wealth of underwater, on-the-water and by-the-water activities as well.
