“Pearl of the Caribbean” Escorted Coach Tour

This escorted tour combines the colonial delights of Old Havana and Trinidad with the natural beauty of Vinales Valley and Sierra del Rosario Nature Reserve.  It gives you the opportunity of sampling the amazing variety that Cuba has to offer.

Day One – Havana
After being welcomed at Jose Marti Airport, you’ll be transferred to Old Havana to stay in the beautiful 4* Sevilla Hotel.  No meals provided the first day.

Day Two – Havana
After enjoying the breakfast provided, you’ll be taken on a guided sightseeing tour of Havana, visiting all the major sights of the city.  There will be a chance to absorb the atmosphere of the narrow cobblestone streets of Old Havana, as well as a visit to the impressive Museum of the Revolution.  You’ll also visit the Havana Club Rum Factory, where you may get the chance to do a bit of rum tasting! 
Lunch will be taken at the famous El Patio restaurant, situated in a charming location overlooking the historic Cathedral Square in the heart of Old Havana. 
After lunch you’ll visit the Cuban home of Earnest Hemmingway, then have the rest of the day to explore at your leisure.
Dinner will be provided at the El Aljibe restaurant, which specialises in Cuban cuisine, and after dinner you’ll visit the world famous Tropicana Cabaret.

Day Three – Sierra del Rosario
After a leisurely breakfast you will visit one of Cuba’s world famous cigar factories for a tour.  Lunch will be taken at the Santa Angel restaurant overlooking one of Old Havana’s beautifully preserved squares.
After lunch the tour will continue on to the Moka Hotel, situated deep in the Sierra Del Rosario Nature Reserve.  On arrival there will be a chance to explore the local village, or take a stroll and a cooling dip in the San Juan River.  The evening will be at leisure and dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant.

Day Four – Sierra del Rosario
After breakfast you’ll depart for the famous Vinales Valley, where you’ll enjoy various stops to allow you the best views of it’s natural beauty. There will be a subterranean boat ride through the El Indio limestone cave system followed by lunch in the Ranchon San Vicente restaurant.  In the late afternoon you’ll return to the Moka Hotel, and dinner will be taken in the house of a local farmer.

Day Five – Cienfuegos
Breakfast will be early, as you’ll be leaving for Cienfuegos.  Travelling east you’ll stop en route at Guama, where you’ll experience a boat ride through a mangrove swamp, then visit a replica of a Taino Indian Village on the shores of Treasure Lake.  Lunch will be taken at a country restaurant, before continuing to Cienfuegos, known as the “Pearl of the South”.  You’ll be staying at the Jagua Hotel where you’ll enjoy dinner.

Day Six – Cienfuegos
Another early breakfast, then you’ll leave for Santa Clara, the final resting place of “Che” Guevara.  You’ll visit the mausoleum and museum dedicated to his extraordinary life.  There will also be a tour of the city.  The tour will continue through the Escambray Mountains to Trinidad, a UNESCO heritage site and one of the best-preserved colonial cities in the world. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, and after there will be a foot tour of the city.  Part of the tour is a visit to La Canchanchara, an old house dating back to the 18th century, where you can try the unique Trinidad rum cocktail, made with cane juice.  Dinner that evening will be at the elegant Palacio Del Valle restaurant overlooking the bay in Cienfuegos.

Day Seven – Havana
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then stroll through Cienfuegos a bit before leaving for Havana.  Your final lunch will be at a countryside restaurant, after which you’ll be dropped off for your return flight, or your transfer to another resort.
