Grand Lido Negril, flagship of the SuperClubs fleet of Super-Inclusive resorts, commands an impressive stretch of Negril’s breathtaking miles of silver sand on Jamaica’s Southwest shore. The spirit of this world-acclaimed resort (AAA 4-Diamond Award, Conde Nast Travellers Readers Award for “Best Resort”, Caribbean and Latin America) begins with the lofty marble entrance hall and the gracious welcome of the friendly team members, and continues to the luxurious suites on 22 acres of tropical gardens.
Here, all desires are answered. The unbelievable beach invites lovers of water sports to windsurf, SCUBA dive, sail a sunfish, all a prelude to the ultimate dream-come-true. Accommodations
Grand Lido Negril Resort & Spa consists of 210 junior suites and full suites all featuring spectacular beachfront, ocean and garden views.
Every suite is equipped with the following: air conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, CD player, coffee maker, hair dryer, safe deposit box, 24-hour room service, complimentary laundry & dry cleaning service and Iron/ironing board.
Grand Lido Negril also has mini-bars in all rooms stocked with Water, Soda and Beer.
Restaurants & Bars
Gran Terrazza - Open-air restaurant serving breakfast, lunch buffets daily. There are also 2 dinner buffets weekly: An extravagant Caribbean Beach Carnival night and a General Managers Grand Gala.
Piacere - Formal French elegance in a luxurious, candlelit setting, serving Nouvelle cuisine. A world-class pianist accompanies your dining experience. Open for dinner from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, nightly except Fridays. Formal attire. Jackets, slacks and shoes required for men. Jeans, T-Shirts, sneakers or sandals should not be worn to Piacere. Reservations and jackets are required.
Café Lido - Specializing in Continental dining, casually elegant atmosphere (no shorts). Open for dinner 6:30pm to 10:00pm nightly, except Mondays and Fridays.
Munasan - Dine in The Munasan, a charmingly appointed and overlooking the warm Caribbean waters. Here chefs perform culinary feats, from fresh sushi to teppanyaki cuisine. The restaurant seats 8 at each teppanyaki table and 12 at the sushi bar, where your chef will hand roll delectable sushi. Reservations are required for dining times between 6:30pm and 9:30pm, resort style attire is acceptable (no shorts). Munasan is open throughout the week except on Mondays and Fridays.
La Pasta - Casual spot serving pasta and pizza for lunch, dinner. Air-conditioned dining room and terrace seating at umbrella tables. (Closed Sundays.)
A beachwear-casual buffet is offered on the beach every Monday evening. Afternoon tea is served daily in the lobby.
As part of the All Inclusive Plan, room service is available daily for evening meals, and snack foods are available 24-hours a day.
Reggae Cafe - Tempts you with the best of local Jamaican favorites, from jerk chicken to Rotti and more. Offers dinner daily except Mondays and Fridays.
Activities
The resort's crescent beachfront is comprised of fine, nearly white sand extending 3 km (2 mi) around semicircular Bloody Bay, in which the Caribbean Sea remains calm in most weather conditions.
The resort has two pools, one near main beach area, one on clothing-optional beach, as well as five Jacuzzis.
The resort's clothing-optional section features its own smaller beach and a 4.6-sq-m (15-sq-ft) pool and 12-person spa tub next to an open-air bar.
The All Inclusive Plan includes basic instruction and use of kayaks, small sailboats, windsurfers, and snorkelling and scuba diving gear. Also included are water skiing and glass-bottom-boat, snorkelling, and scuba-diving excursions.
For a surcharge, a dive centre provides a scuba-diving certification course. (A clothing-optional snorkelling trip is offered on Thursdays.) Parasailing flights can be booked through the concierge for surcharges.
The All Inclusive Plan also includes roundtrip transport and greens fees at Negril Hills Golf Club (clubs, carts, mandatory caddy not included), as well as play on four tennis courts (two lighted) and use of bicycles. Aerobics and yoga classes are conducted on an oceanfront deck.
