Description / Location

A breezy lobby with multicolored light fixtures, upholstered seating, and seascape mosaics made of large, colored tiles signifies the Trelawny’s casual ambience. Nude sunbathing is allowed at a screened section of the beach. Water attractions include a 68.5-meter (225-foot) pool (with waterslide) and a 30-meter (100-foot) pool, each with a 25-person spa tub section and pool tables; a children's pool with a spiral waterslide; an activities pool; and a toddlers' pool. Sundecks feature cabanas with beds large enough to accommodate families. A private garden contains three eight-person spa tubs. An island just off the beach offers quiet sunning and open-air massage. Local artisans sell arts and crafts in Bamboo Village, a collection of stalls about 183 meters (200 yards) from the resort along the beach.

Accommodations

The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at this resort are included in the room rate; guests will not be charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information). This all-inclusive Jamaica resort offers 350 guestrooms in two yellow-and-white seven-story wings connected with breezeways. Guestrooms feature balconies or patios, compact refrigerators, radio/CD players, and in-room safes; most have DVD players. Guestrooms are decorated in green-blue-yellow fabrics and mahogany-stained furniture. DVDs are available for rent. Televisions include U.S. cable channels.

Starfish Buffet - Casual, open-air restaurant with bright yellow-and-blue dining sets adjacent to pool. Breakfast, lunch, dinner buffets daily, with late-night snacks available. Reservations required for dinner.
Casablanca Restaurant - Second-floor air-conditioned dining room serving four-course dinner nightly except Tuesdays. Reservations required. Dress code: dress shorts or long pants, collared shirts for men; no shorts, flip-flops, wraps, jeans, or sneakers for women. Adults and children age 14 years and older only permitted. Surcharges for selected menu items, such as lobster and shrimp.
Giuseppe Restaurant - Casual, outdoor, pool-view terrace serving à la carte pizza/pasta menu nightly except Wednesdays. Reservations required. Per-person surcharge.
Munasan Restaurant - Open-air, second-floor, pool-view restaurant with ivy-covered front wall. Sushi bar, teppanyaki tables. Open for dinner every night but Thursdays. Reservations required. Dress code: dress shorts or long pants, collared shirts for men; no shorts, flip-flops, wraps, jeans, or sneakers for women. Per-person surcharge for teppanyaki and sushi bar.

Activities

The majority of on-site recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information). Adjacent to the main building, a 68.5-meter (225-foot) pool arcing around the resort's buffet restaurant contains a swim-up bar, a star-shaped 25-person spa-tub section, a 23-meter (75-foot) waterslide, and two artificial-turf pool tables. Near the beach, a pool complex comprises a children's pool with a 27-meter (90-foot) spiral waterslide; a toddlers' pool with fountains; a 20-meter (65-foot) activities pool with volleyball net; and a 30-meter (100-foot) pool encircled by a shallow section containing lounge chairs cooled by showers, a round, 25-person spa-tub section, and two artificial-turf pool tables. Pool decks feature wood-shingle-roof cabanas containing beds. Encircled by high hedges, three hot-water spa tubs accommodate eight soakers each. The Trelawny’s 183-meter (200-yard) beach includes a nude sunbathing section screened by bamboo poles. A rock-and-sand sunbathing island just off the beach's clothing-mandatory section offers lounge chairs, fold-up sunshades, umbrellas, hammocks, and open-air massage cabanas. Also offshore is a trampoline raft. Guests can use four lighted tennis courts, a full basketball court, a miniature golf course, a shuffleboard court, and an artificial-ice skating/hockey rink with skates, sticks, and pucks. Green fees at Ironshore Golf Course in Montego Bay 15 miles (24 km) away are included (surcharges for transfers, clubs, carts, and mandatory caddy).
