4* Anse Chastanet
Description / Location
A popular getaway for celebrating couples, Anse Chastanet (Bay of Chastanet) lies at the end of a rugged, 3-km (2-mi) forest road, a world away from real-world stress. Guests come here for the tranquility; the beach; the snorkeling and scuba diving; the jungle mountain biking/hiking; the forest's nocturnal tree-frog chorus; and the opportunity to be alone together. A 229-m (250-yd) beach curves between two rocky headlands, with the calm Caribbean lapping against soft, tan/gray volcanic sand. Thatched shades shield lounge chairs and hammocks hang between coconut palms. At the bay's south end is a notable and accessible snorkeling/diving site where fish, coral, and other marine life are visible within a few yards of shore. The resort provides complimentary snorkeling gear and its diving center offers beginner lessons, certification courses, and reef, wreck, wall, and night dives.
Accommodations
Superior Hillside
Superior rooms are located on the hillside and are octagonal or rectangular in shape, with 2 twin beds or one king size bed, with ocean and/or Piton view. Standard rooms are slightly smaller than Superior rooms with twin, queen or king size bedding, with garden or partial ocean view.
When booking Standard category, you could be located on either hillside or beachside - the category is based on "run of house" principle which may lead to a complimentary upgrade to Superior or Beachside Deluxe location, at the Resort's discretion. Both Standard and Superior rooms have either clay or tropical hardwood floors, either glass or wooden jalousie louvre windows, ceiling fans and balconies, ensuite bathrooms with shower and toilet.
Deluxe Beachside
All beachside rooms are Deluxe category rooms. Beachside Deluxe rooms are very spacious rooms with either 2 doubles or 1 king size bed, ensuite bathroom with 2 sinks, shower and toilet. They have clay tiles, wooden jalousie louvre windows, ceiling fans and large balconies or patios. All beachside rooms offer a tropical garden view, just a few steps from the water's edge.
Deluxe Hillside
Hillside Deluxe rooms are extremly spacious and individually designed, some in a very open-air style with the fourth wall missing and some with dramatic open roof dormers. Some rooms have a formal separation between bedroom and living room, others are wide open spaces flowing into each other. Clay floor tiles or tropical hardwood floor, king size bed, wooden jalousie louvres, ceiling fans, balconies, and very large ensuite bathrooms with 2 sinks, shower and WC, Piton and/or ocean view.
Premium Hillside
Premium rooms are ANSE CHASTANET's rooms numbered 7, which offer picture postcard perfect views of the Piton mountains and the surrounding sea by virtue of their very elevated and strategic location. Some Premium rooms have fourth wall missing. All Premium hillside rooms have ceiling fans, clay floor tiles or tropical hardwood floors, wooden jalousie louvres, large ensuite bathrooms.

Activities
Fringed by a 229-m (250-yd) beach curving between two rocky headlands, the bay fronting the resort features one of the Caribbean Sea's most notable and accessible snorkeling/diving sites, with fish (some 150 species), coral, and other marine life visible off the beach. The reef plateaus for about 45.75 m (50 yds) and then steeply slopes down to 46.75 m (140 ft). Snorkeling and diving are also available on the resort's second beach, a 5-minute complimentary boat ride away.
Guests have complimentary use of snorkeling gear, windsurfers, kayaks, sailboats, and a tennis court. The resort's diving center offers beginner lessons, certification courses, and reef, wreck, wall, and night dives off the beach (surcharges for lessons, dives).
Other recreational activities available include sunset cruises on the resort's 11.25-m (37-ft) yacht and deep-sea fishing. Tours of nearby attractions such as Soufrière's "drive-in" volcano, sulphur springs, and mineral baths are also available. Complimentary classes are offered five times weekly in a yoga hut.
