Cotton Bay Village is one of the newest holiday experiences in the Caribbean. Not a hotel or traditional resort, it is perhaps an ideal cross between a private Villa self-catering holiday and a destination resort. It is a small village sitting directly on Cotton Bay, an under developed stretch of sandy beach on St Lucia's picturesque East coast allowing its visitors to feel as though you are miles away from anywhere - but the beauty is that the excellent selection of shops and restaurants of bustling Rodney Bay are only a 10 minute drive away. The property is also bordered by the Cap Estate championship 18-hole golf course.
Barefoot elegance is the theme in this community, where residents are all on holiday. It's a perfect home away from home and an ideal base for exploring one of the Caribbean's most beautiful islands. With its safe beach and shallow Ocean waters, Cotton Bay Village is a great location for families. It's the ideal setting for spending quality time with family and friends in luxurious accommodations in a quiet village atmosphere.
Accommodation
The accommodation ranges from grand 4 bedroom mansions with a separate guest cottage to spacious luxury apartment suites.
All Suites are beautifully finished with hardwood floors, traditional timber louvered windows and sheers, to give a Caribbean flavour. Bedrooms are air-conditioned and are en suite with Hans Groher designer fittings. All Master bedrooms rooms in the suits have four-poster beds. Sitting rooms have TV, CD and DVD players and an eclectic blend of furnishings from painted French furniture, modern metal designs and Colonial Plantation styles, including traditional mahogany.
All ground floor suites have covered dining terraces featuring teak dining furniture and a private sun terrace. First floor suits are complete with a sun terrace and dining balcony.
One, two and three bedroom apartment suites are available. All suites overlook the freeform swimming pool to which there is direct access.
The Three bedroom Coral Penthouse apartments offer over 2400sq ft of living space and boast a roof top sundeck and Jacuzzi.
For added luxury, the three bedroom Townhouses are both stylish and elegant. Also boasting the roof top sundeck and Jacuzzi, the Townhouses also feature a private garden, outdoor dining facilities and pool. The three and four bedroom Villas are perfect for families or groups of friends and provide a private pool, outdoor dining gazebo and your very own butler.
Restaurants & Bars
All 74 luxurious residences have their own luxurious full sized kitchens so self-catering is the most popular option at the Village with a Deli and convenience store on site. There are two great restaurants within the village.
The Beach Club 1461 - Barefoot elegance is the feeling here at just about the most chic beach restaurant you have ever seen. From BBQ to Foie Gras, cold beer to champagne, there's something for any mood all day long. A La Carte Breakfast and lunch fare are available until 6:30pm daily. Dinner is served A La Carte from 6:30pm - 10pm 6 nights a week; Caribbean BBQ and family beach party once a week.
Piano Piano - for a more elegant dining experience in a fully air conditioned environment. The latest restaurant to open in the Village and already considered to be one of St Lucia's new Hot Tables. The menu is a fusion of Caribbean and Mediterranean flavours. Reservations are essential.
Take Out Service -Some of the eateries located in the Village offer take out service, with our without delivery, the choice is yours. There is a beverage take away service that you utilize to stock your own bar any time.
Bruschetta Deli - Offering a wide selection of choices, from breads and pastries to cold cuts and salami. Sip your favourite coffee or savour afternoon tea with your family and friends or let the little ones enjoy ice cream.
Private Chefs - Both the Beach Club 1461 and Piano Piano offer a private chef facility. If your are staying one of the lovely Cotton House or Chateaux Mango Villas and can provide 48 hours notice, they can arrange a private dinner cooked by your very own chef, or a BBQ around your pool or a simple cocktails and canapés evening.
Activities
Cotton Bay Village is proud to introduce “Casuarina”, it’s luxurious centre of pampering. This state of the art, beautifully interior designed spa features “Elemis” products and an extraordinary range of treatments. The Casuarina is the only spa in Saint Lucia to feature a Moroccan “ Rasul”; a state of the art computerized treatment room. While sitting comfortably in your Rasul chair, you can select various muds and clays for the body treatments of your choice. The room releases hot steam, which promotes open pores and readies the skin for absorption. This process takes place in semi darkness with only the light from gleaming fibre optic stars and moon. A rain shower then appears from above, to wash away the mud! After this blissful treatment, you can proceed to Casuarina’s other jewel, a suite designed for two where you can lose yourself for a day or a half day complete with refreshments, a personal masseuse, a private pool and a cave to call your own. It is safe to say that the “Casuarina” spa and fitness centre provides a personalized sensory journey to unite mind, body and spirit, and is a must see!
Families will enjoy this resort for many reasons. Self contained accommodation gives you the freedom to attend to family needs, without the restrictions of a hotel. You are free to bring along your nanny or our concierge service can provide one for you. Some villas come with guest cottages for a nanny, parents or teenage kids. Each villa is equipped with state of the art entertainment and games systems and “The Hummingbird Club”, for children aged 3-7, is a must for adventurous children who would like to learn a bit about our country and its secrets. Toddlers can be accommodated, accompanied by a nanny. A daily programme of land and water activities is provided for older children and teens.
There are many activities to keep you busy: On land there is an 18 Hole Championship Golf Course and Beach Horseback Riding (payable locally). For water sports there is a pool and a beautiful beach with a windsurfing and kite centre as well as kayaking. Tennis and scuba are available nearby sister property The Body holiday at LeSPORT.
