4* Jalousie Plantation
Description / Location
Nestled in 192 acres of magnificent rainforest and sweeping majestically down to sea, this hotel is without question located in one of the most awe-inspiring locations in the world, the majestic valley of The Pitons. Once you have visited us you will realise why UNESCO have listed this area as a World Heritage Site.
Each first-class villa is placed uniquely and privately amongst the lush green foliage and soaring trees to give you the feeling of being at one with nature and with that, the feeling of complete serenity. The views will simply take your breath away.
This hotel experience caters for all. As well as all land and water sports including unsurpassed SCUBA diving, you can pamper yourself in The Jalousie Spa and experience the local foods and delicacies in the fine restaurants and bars. All children are welcome and we have a wide range of activities that will keep them occupied and ensure that they, and you, have the holiday experience of a lifetime.
Guests may book either a Room-Only (No Meals), B&B, Half Board or All-Inclusive.
Accommodations
This resort offers 112 guestrooms, villas, and villa suites in one-story wood-and-fieldstone villas and in two six-room, two-story buildings. All are arrayed on a steep, forested hillside and on a lower slope along the bay. On the hillside, the forest nearly engulfs villas, rendering them invisible from below. Complimentary 24-hour shuttles transport guests up and down the hill and around the resort. Furnishings include white-tile floors, pottery, white furniture with coloured trim, and cushioned dark-rattan chairs. Violet netting is draped above headboards. Makeup alcoves have mirrors, counters, and benches. Marble bathrooms include bidets, bathrobes, and telephones. TVs include videocassette players, with videos available for rent.

Activities
A 137-m (150-yd) beach of imported light-coloured sand fronts the resort's portion of the rocky-shore bay. Floats designate a snorkelling/scuba-diving area beside Petit Piton’s sheer wall. A sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas surrounds a stunning oblong pool. The resort provides complimentary snorkelling gear, sailboats, kayaks, and windsurfers. (Surcharges for instruction, kayaking and snorkelling excursions).
A dive centre offers scuba-diving instruction/certification and reef, wreck, wall, and night dives off the beach and nearby (surcharge payable locally).
Complimentary shuttles transport guests up the hillside to a three-hole pitch-and-putt golf course, a squash court, and four artificial-grass tennis courts (three lighted). Play at these facilities is complimentary. Golf clubs and tennis racquets can be rented. Private tennis lessons are available for a surcharge.
An open-air fitness centre offers yoga, Pilates, tai chi, kung fu, and other classes for a surcharge.
Guided nature walks are complimentary, and guided walks to a waterfall are available for a surcharge. Helicopters land at the resort's helipad for sightseeing tours.
Independent water taxis transport guests to Anse Chastanet, notable for snorkelling and diving, and to Anse Mamin, a former plantation with groomed mountain-biking trails and separate hiking trails through jungle and among mango, coconut, banana, guava, cocoa, and citrus trees. Mountain-bike rentals are also available.
