Ladera is a resort that travellers dream about - a small, lush, tropical gem that is world acclaimed yet still relatively unknown. Located in southwestern Saint Lucia, Ladera is a paradise like no other.

Accommodation

With only 6 villas and 26 suites and a dedicated, attentive staff, Ladera offers an intimate experience and the ability to cater to your preferences.

Constructed with tropical hardwood, stone & tile and furnished with furniture made at Ladera by local artists in their own wood work shop on site.  All accommodations have a fabulous view of the Pitons & Caribbean Sea, plus private bathroom with shower, servi bar, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, iron/ironing board, Ladera robes & beach towels. 

The hotel provides you with “Necessarie Baskets” that include binoculars, ear plugs, aphrodisiac, slippers, playing cards, star gazing chart, eye masks, a “bubbles” water gun and Jeeves – your own personal butler in the form of a two way radio, which connects with reception and room service.

From the Petit Piton Suite up to the Luxury 2-bedroom Dream Villa, Ladera provides an amazing environment in which you can relax away the stress of modern life.

Restaurants & Bars

Dasheene, Ladera's award-winning restaurant, is known throughout the world for its eclectic, innovative cuisine. The restaurant welcomes guests from all over the island, who often come here for lunch and dinner to enjoy Dasheene's unbelievable panoramic view firsthand, to sip cocktails at the Tcholit Bar, enjoy live music most evenings, and indulge in the delicacies - both local and international - that make Dasheene one of the Caribbean's finest dining experiences.
Tcholit Bar – open from 09:00am to midnight daily, with bar/food service available at the pool deck from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

Activities and Facilities

Ladera provides a variety of musical entertainment most nights, as well as occasional art exhibitions and presentations about the island of St Lucia. 

It is the perfect spot for the adventurous traveller, offering opportunities to climb Petit Piton, scuba dive around volcanic rock or hike through lush tropical rain forest.

There is a main swimming pool (in addition to the plunge pools in each suite), a library with books and board games, telephone/fax/internet access at reception (local charges apply) and a laundry service.  Tennis is available at the Jalousie Plantation.

There are complimentary shuttles to the main town of Soufriere as well as Jalousie Plantation and Anse Chastanet, where beach access and watersports are available.  Beach towels and snorkelling equipment are available from Ladera.

The Boutique offers a variety of merchandise including original arts & crafts, tropical clothing, sweets, magazines & sundries.  For those who wish to workout there is also a small open-air exercise room. 

Ti Kai Posé Spa

In local patois, it means “little house of rest” and in any language, pure pampering. The Ti Kai Posé spa at Ladera features indulgent treatments inspired by St. Lucia’s volcanic history and the lush rainforest that surrounds this peaceful retreat.
The four treatment rooms at Ti Kai Posé are in keeping with the same intimate design and scale of Ladera’s suites. Treatments are available in the spa facility or in the privacy of your suite or villa.
Ladera guests are also able to enjoy the new Mineral Soaking tubs in the spa gardens. Drawn directly from the source at the Diamond Mineral Baths near Soufrière (French for sulfur) these restorative waters are available right on property, in newly-built bathing pools. Conveniently located beside the Ti Kaye Posé Spa, guests may include a mineral soak as part of their pre- or post-massage routine, or simply use it to relax after a day hiking or spent at the beach. The new Mineral Pools are complimentary to all guests.

New for 2009:  Price is based on 2 adults sharing a Petit Piton Suite on a Bed & Breakfast basis as well as the resorts "Romance Package".  This includes a bottle of chilled champagne, a one-hour couples massage and dinner for 2 at the renowned Dasheene Restaurant.  Return transfers are also included. 

Included in the "bed & breakfast" basis is breakfast, afternoon tea, full use of the resort facilities, complimentary beach shuttle and use of snorkelling equipment.

Full Board (3 meals a day plus the inclusions above) can be added for £67 per person per day.
All Inclusive (save as full board with the addition of all drinks by the glass) can be added for £109 (£99 in 2009) per person per day.
