Description / Location

"Mago" is the local St. Lucian word for "Mango", and this hotel sits among the Mango trees at the edge of the rain forest above the town of Soufriere. Many of the guests have also noted that "Mago" translates as "Magic" in Spanish - and this hotel provides a 'magical' location to enjoy nature, relaxation and a great view of the Pitons and the Caribbean from every room in this unique and intimate hotel.
Sleep in a four-poster bed with a symphony of tree frogs and birds. Relax in a hammock, sip a cocktail in the 'Jungle' Bar or get pampered with a spa treatment at our health and wellness center.

Accommodations

14 guestrooms at Mago Estate Hotel feature views of the ocean and the Pitons. The room types are as follows:
Eco-Value Rooms: The open front allows you to pick fruit or smell the ginger lilies without having the leave the room. These rooms are smaller and a little further away from the pool - ideal for those who enjoy paying a lot less for only a little less. (no air con, phone or TV)
Shangri-la Rooms: Also open-fronted and with perhaps the best view of the Mago Estate Hotel, these rooms are only steps away from the dining terrace and the pool. (no air con, phone or TV)
Shangri-la Eco-Suite:  In this suite your are very much part of the natural surrounding as the open plan is very open.  Not the most private of rooms, but the views of Petit Piton, the Soufriere Harbour & the Carribean Sea are well worth it.(no air con, phone or TV)
Luxury Eden Suites: These suites are for those who enjoy the Caribbean nature but don't want to forfeit their comfort.  With a private plunge pool and access to the semi-private roof deck, these suites are set apart from the main estate and can be reached by walking down steps through the jungle garden.  Every Eden Suite has huge sliding doors for you to shut the jungle out (or let it in), as well as air conditioning and cable TV.
Carib Suites:  Unique luxury suites, crafted by Balinese architects in the best tropical hardwood, with hand-crafted king-size four poster beds, walk-in wardrobes, tasteful living areas and modern Kitchenettes and beautiful views. Choose between Junior Suites (no whirlpool), Suites & Grand Suite (both with whirlpool.  All these suites have internet access.

Jungle Restaurant - The cooks work their culinary magic every day, as their dishes have to compete with the magnificent views from the dining terrace: tropical gardens, Petit Piton, the bay of Soufriere, the turquoise Caribbean. The delightful cuisine merges French, Creole, and Caribbean influences. Only the freshest seafood, delicious spices and organic produce from local markets find their way onto your plate.
Jungle Bar - One of your experiences at the resort will be your 'welcome drink' at this cliff-side bar. The friendly bartenders will serve your favorite cocktail or introduce you to some of their special tropical drinks. Make sure you try the local 'Piton' Beer!
