About our Koh Lanta Holidays
Ko Lanta - Ko Lanta lied on the west coast of Andaman Sea in between Krabi and Phi Phi Island . Large size Island 6 km wide and over 30 kms long, 9 beaches lie from north to south along the sunset coast. Stunning scenery, fantastic white sandy beaches, coastlines have more than 70 small islands and plenty with forest, coral reefs and under water life.
Life on Ko Lanta is never boring. Most visitors spend lazy days on the beautiful beaches, relaxing body and mind. A variety of leisurely ways to pass the time are on offer - Thai massage on the beach, Spa treatments with great views, exotic cocktails watching the stunning sunsets, and testing the fabulous seafood cooked Thai-style.
Koh Lanta has world class diving facilities at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang , everything as a diving addict needs, from dramatic walls, big action of Barracudas crowd, Manta, Whale Shark and the lush tropical underwater gardens.
This is the island's main town, and offers a variety of tour agents, banks, dive schools, restaurants and souvenir shops.
Climate and Geography - Weather on Ko Lanta is typically that of a tropical monsoon climate. The monsoons change direction twice a year, coming once from the south-west and once from the north-east. This causes Ko Lanta to have only two seasons - the summer season and the rainy season. The tourist season in Ko Lanta runs from October through until May with most visitors arriving from November to March. The temperature on the island doesn't vary much all year, with a comfortable 32-34 degree C daytime temperature and 20-25 degree C night time temperature. Sea temperature similarly stays at around 28 to 30 degrees all year round.
The Peope - Ko Lanta has a very diverse cultural mix well worth preserving. Thai-Muslim, Thai-Chinese and original settlers the Sea Gypsies have lived on the island in harmony for hundreds of years. All are very tolerant to outsiders and most visitors are greeted with a smile.
