On the northern end of Daytona Beach, this nine-story oceanfront hotel is a favorite for families in town to enjoy the sun, surf, and beach. Guests can stock up on food and essentials at the grocery store across the street. Pineapple lamps (a symbol of hospitality), ceiling fans, and potted palms create a tropical feel in the small, intimate lobby overlooking busy A-1-A, Florida’s coastal highway.
The La Playa Resort offers a large indoor splash pool, shuffleboard court, and a restaurant where a daily breakfast buffet is offered. Other amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and complimentary parking. This is a pet-friendly hotel (surcharge).
Daytona Lagoon, a waterpark in Daytona Beach at Ocean Walk Village (2.5 miles from the hotel), includes a 500,000-gallon wave pool, 10 waterslides, a lazy river, and an interactive water-play area. Other park options include miniature golf, a game arcade, go-karts, laser tag, and rock climbing.

La Playa does not have a restaurant that serves dinner, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area.
