Formally the Sheraton World Resort located along the busy International Drive corridor, this 28-acre resort features natural buffers such as palm trees and flowering gardens to absorb the noise. A five-story, sky-lit lobby is paneled in raw wood and includes seating areas amid palm trees, flower gardens, parrots, and Indonesian-style ceiling fans. It serves both as a major convention hotel and a tranquil resort for leisure travelers. International Plaza Resort & Spa includes three heated swimming pools--one with a rock waterfall--two 15-foot-diameter children's pools, and a 12-person spa tub.
