Set on 27 landscaped acres overlooking Lake Buena Vista, this waterfront resort primarily attracts leisure travelers and families with its location across from Downtown Disney. Business travelers and conventioneers appreciate the extensive meeting and event facilities. Across from the resort's 27-story tower is Recreation Island, home to two outdoor pools, children's pool, spa tub, tennis court, and playground. A 10,200-square-foot spa offers 60 services (surcharge), a 24-hour fitness center, and an outdoor lap pool. The Buena Vista Palace provides complimentary scheduled shuttle service to all four Disney theme parks.
Accommodations
The resort has 1,012 contemporary guestrooms located in the 27-story main tower and the six-story Island Resort building. Most guestrooms have furnished balconies with views and pillowtop mattresses. In addition have refrigerators available on request (surcharge), in-room safes (complimentary), and video games (surcharge). Other amenities include wireless Internet access (surcharge)and Golden Door toiletries (complimentary). Rollaway beds are available for a surcharge.

The Outback Restaurant - This casual restaurant (no relation to the national chain) serves light entrées in an Australian-themed setting. Open for breakfast and lunch only.
Watercress Café - Overlooking Lake Buena Vista, this casual restaurant features American fare, including soups, salads, sandwiches, steaks, and seafood. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sunday breakfast includes visits from the Disney characters.
Top of the Palace Lounge - Guests can watch the sunset or catch theme-park fireworks from this vantage point on the 27th floor. Offers cocktails, wine, appetizers, and dessert.
Lobby Lounge - A piano bar overlooking the lobby atrium and serving wine, cocktails, and coffee drinks. Open from mid-afternoon until late evening.
Pool Snack Bar - Located on Recreation Island, this poolside bar offers hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, and tropical drinks from mid-morning until mid-evening.
Activities
Accessible from the main hotel via walkways, Recreation Island is home to two outdoor pools, a children's pool, a spa tub, a lighted tennis court, a sand volleyball court, and a children’s playground. The resort spa has an outdoor lap pool and a 24-hour fitness center with stationary bikes, treadmills, stair steppers, and free weights. Resort guests enjoy preferred tee times at Disney's five 18-hole championship golf courses.
