A lush, tropical ambience greets guests entering the lobby, which has a panoramic view of a cascading waterfall high above the outdoor pool. Set on 45 acres, this 1,338-suite resort and convention center in three 10-story towers is six miles from the Orlando/Orange County Convention Center and 1.5 miles from Disney. The Caribe Royale Orlando resort has a freeform outdoor pool, children's pool, and video game room. The 3,500-square-foot, two-level fitness center has 40 pieces of cardio and strength training equipment and ten 32-inch widescreen, flat-screen TVs. It is open from early morning until late evening with trained staff always on hand. The resort also offers a self-service business center open 24-hours, and a convention center with 150,000 square feet of meeting space, including exhibit halls and two ballrooms.
Accommodations
This resort has 1,338 guestrooms in three l0-story towers. Tower Three is reserved for adults traveling without children, and suites in this tower have minibars. All suites have complimentary HBO and Disney Channel, refrigerator, microwave, ergonomic chair, and desk.
Restaurants and Bars
Venetian Room - This Venetian-themed restaurant serves Continental cuisine with an emphasis on Northern Italian dining. Extensive collection of reserve wines. Dinner only.
The Tropicale - Traditional family fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a comfortable setting complete with indoor palm trees. Sandwiches, burgers, pasta, meat, and poultry dishes.
Calypso's - Poolside dining consisting of traditional tropical drinks and hot meals, including burgers and sandwiches. Serves lunch and dinner.
Café Largo - Open seven days a week, Café Largo, with its bistro theme, offers late-night dining or takeout anytime. Menu items include pizza, salads, and deli favorites.
Parrot Isle Lounge - Situated off the hotel lobby, the Parrot Isle Lounge has a rich wood motif, widescreen TV, piano music, cocktails, and snacks.
Activities
A 250,000-gallon outdoor freeform pool—flanked by towering rocks with a cascading waterfall—and a 75-foot serpentine waterslide create a tropical playground. A fitness center in the pool courtyard provides trained staff and an array of cardio and weight equipment. For children, the resort has a separate pool and interactive water playground, as well as a video-game room. Guests can play on two lighted tennis courts.
