Description / Location

An oasis within a mile of the Walt Disney World Resort, the Hyatt is set on 1,500 lushly landscaped acres that include a 45-acre preserve, miles of nature trails, and a mile-long Audubon Walk past exotic plants and wildlife. A sun-filled atrium with original artwork, cascading waterfall, glass elevators, colorful parrots, and towering palms greets arriving leisure and business guests. A  half-acre freeform, lagoon-style pool includes waterfalls, waterslides, a children’s pool, and spa tubs. Paddleboats and canoes are available for rent along Lake Windsong. Four Jack Nicklaus Signature Design courses include an 18-hole course and three nine-hole challenges. The Racquet Club has 12 tennis courts; the Equestrian Center offers trail rides and lessons.

Accommodations

This 18-story Orlando hotel has 750 air-conditioned guestrooms, all with walk-out balconies. Tropical decor includes rattan-style furnishings. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access are available (included in resort fee). Twenty-seven-inch TVs come with premium cable channels, pay movies, and video games (surcharge). Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations, makeup/shaving mirrors, and premium Portico toiletries. Compact refrigerators are available on request.

Restaurants and Bars

Cascade Restaurant - A 35-foot bronze mermaid sculpture with waterfall is the focal point in Cascade’s two-story lobby overlooking Lake Windsong. Menu includes soups, salads, seafood, steak, and chicken. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
White Horse Sports Bar & Grill - Upscale sports bar and grill. Nonstop sports on flat-screen TVs. House favorites include steaks, lamb chops, and seafood. Extensive wine menu, beer, and cocktails. Dinner only.
Hemingway’s - Set high atop the grotto overlooking the outdoor pool, this Key West–style restaurant specializes in fresh seafood. Dinner only.
Palm Café - Casual restaurant serving ready-made sandwiches, salads, pastries, and light fare. Open early morning to late evening.
La Coquina Chef's Table - A superlative dining experience is yours when you partake of our exclusive "Chef's Table."  Guests dine inside the Chef's kitchen, looking on as the highly trained team of chefs prepares amazing culinary creations right before your eyes.
Sunday Brunch - La Coquina  - Take advantage of the one most celebrated Sunday Brunches in the entire area. Styled as a French marketplace, this delightful brunch offers table after table of tempting fare.

Activities

Swimming and boating: The resort’s centerpiece is a half-acre freeform pool with 12 waterfalls, two waterslides, a children’s pool, three spa tubs, and an expansive sundeck overlooking the white-sand beach and Lake Windsong. Sailboats, paddleboats, and canoes are available for rent.
Golf: Four Jack Nicklaus Signature Design courses include an 18-hole layout and three nine-hole challenges. A golf shop has a full line of equipment, and PGA-level instruction is available at the Grand Cypress Golf Academy. The whole family can enjoy play on the nine-hole, par 3 pitch ‘n putt course. Tees, scorecards, and use of clubs and golf balls are complimentary.
Tennis: The Grand Cypress Racquet Club has eight Har-Tru and four Deco Turf II tennis courts, five lit for night play. Instruction is available at the Tennis Academy.
Walking, jogging, bicycling: Options include three jogging and walking paths stretching from 1.3 to 4.7 miles, an Audubon Walk with a mile-long boardwalk past exotic plants and Florida wildlife, and nine miles of Cypress trails. The resort rents bicycles.
Horseback riding: Trail rides and instruction in riding, jumping, and dressage (surcharges) are the options at The Grand Cypress Equestrian Center; young junior lessons for ages 3–7 are available.
Fitness center: The fitness center contains stationary bikes, treadmills, and strength-training equipment.
