The 28-story resort set on 200 lush acres is a towering presence on the Orlando horizon. Business and leisure guests arrive via a long driveway flanked by huge Florida palms and bordered by the 18-hole Hawk’s Landing golf course. The huge, circular lobby has massive columns, and is bordered by shops, fine dining, and a busy Starbucks. This Orlando resort offers a wealth of recreational activities, such as a 4,000-square-foot fitness center and an 18-hole championship golf course. The Marriott’s six pools include a lagoon-shaped pool with waterfalls and slides, as well as two children’s pools and an indoor pool. Also provided are six spa tubs, a day spa, six restaurants, night-lit tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts, as well as a children’s play area.
Accommodations
This 28-story Marriott Resort has 2,000 guestrooms located in a multi-level building with four towers. Furnished patios or walk-out balconies offer resort views. Amenities include cable TVs with premium channels, minibars, multi-line phones, coffeemakers, hair dryers, desks, dual vanities, high-speed Internet access (surcharge), and video-game consoles.

Ristorante Tuscany - Restaurant with all-wood decor, located off the main lobby. Specialty is Italian Tuscan cuisine. Full bar. Dinner only.
Hawk’s Landing Steakhouse - Great views overlooking the golf course. Choices include boneless rib eye, prime beef, crab cakes, and shrimp. Children’s menu. Full bar. Open for lunch (seasonally) and dinner.
Mikado Japanese Steakhouse - Overlooks a pool and sundeck. Teppanyaki tableside cooking. Steaks, shrimp, scallops, and fresh sushi combos. Children’s menu. Full bar. Dinner only.
Solaris - Casual, family-style dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast buffet or à la carte. Seafood buffet on Friday night. Children under 4 eat free.
Mangrove Emporium - Indoor food court offering sandwiches, pizza, hot entrées, and desserts. Open daily.
Starbucks - Coffees and pastries on the lobby level. Open early morning until late evening.
Champions Bar - Nonsmoking and family-friendly. Furnished with sports memorabilia and TVs. Serves pizza, sandwiches, salads, and steaks. Open late afternoon to late evening.
Pavilion Pool Bar - Perched on the rocks, overlooking the resort’s lagoon pool. Drinks, light bites. Open mid-morning until dusk (weather permitting).
The Lobby Bar - Indoor and outdoor verandah seating. Martinis, frozen cocktails, and specialty drinks. Open 5 PM until late evening.
Lobby Bar - Contemporary lounge area, overlooking largest resort pool. Outdoor veranda with lagoon-pool views. Martinis, frozen cocktails, other beverages. Appetizers. Open 5-10 PM.
Mangrove Emporium - Food court. Pizza, Philly cheese steak, burgers, salads, beverages, Haagen-Dazs ice cream. Eat in, or take-out. Open 9 AM-7 PM.
Pavilion Pool Bar - Perched on the rocks, overlooking the resort’s largest pool and recreation area. Tropical drinks, light fare. Open noon-dusk, weather permitting.
Starbucks - Located in the main hotel lobby. Specialty coffee drinks, pastries. Open 7 AM-11 PM.
Activities
This resort’s 18-hole championship golf course provides daily clinics and instructional programs for all levels of play. The 600,000-gallon, lagoon-shaped swimming pool includes grotto-style waterfalls and water slides. There are also two children’s pools with complimentary, daily poolside activities, as well as an indoor lap pool.
The 4,000-square-foot fitness center offers cardiovascular equipment, free weights, and circuit-training machines. Night-lit tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, and a sand play area for children are additional options. Body treatments and shiatsu massage therapy are offered at the day spa.
