Description / Location

Located on the beach in the quiet Sunny Isles community of North Miami Beach, this 27-story Doubletree Resort has a unique circular design. Leisure travelers check in at the small, intimate lobby with panoramic views of the ocean. The View restaurant sits off the main lobby, and an outdoor patio area overlooks the ocean. The Spa at Ocean Point offers a variety of services (surcharge), including yoga, sunrise tai-chi, reflexology, aromatherapy, herbal wraps, facials, and Swedish, Shiatsu, and tiki-torch massages. Treadmills, Cybex weight machines, stair machines, stationary bikes, personal trainers, a steam room, and a sauna are available in the fitness center. Overlooking the ocean is a zero-entry outdoor pool with a 25-foot waterfall and two spa tubs. A great way to glimpse a microcosm of Florida is on a Jungle Queen dinner cruise, departing from Fort Lauderdale, 18 miles from the resort. Cruises survey the multimillion-dollar waterfront homes on Millionaire's Row, alligator wrestling, and rare birds. Resort staff will help arrange for reservations and tickets.

This 27-story oceanfront Doubletree has 152 guest suites, all of which include kitchenettes, wireless Internet access (surcharge), and Aveda toiletries. Suites are airy with light-colored furniture and gold-tinged bedding and carpeting. Many suites have furnished balconies with ocean views. 

Restaurants & Bars

View Restaurant - Located off the lobby, the View serves up panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Menu specialties including seafood, steaks, chicken, and salads. An extensive wine list is available. Open for breakfast and dinner.
The Market Bistro & Gift Shop - Wine, cheese, coffee drinks, sandwiches, soft drinks, salads, and sundries are available at this café and grocery shop. Open daily from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.
Poolside Bar - Serving tropical drinks and light fare in an oceanfront setting.

Activities

Non-motorized watercraft including catamarans, sea kayaks, and paddleboats are available on the resort's private beach. A beach concierge is on hand to assist resort guests. The fitness center provides treadmills, Cybex weight machines, stair machines, personal trainers (surcharge), and stationary bikes. A zero-entry splash pool with a 25-foot waterfall and two spa tubs overlooks the ocean. The Normandy Shores Golf Course, an 18-hole course with driving range, is located 6.5 miles from the resort.
