Although the lobby was recently renovated, The Deauville has retained its '60s Miami Beach character with portraits of Dino, Frank, Joey, and Sammy on display. The hotel welcomes an equal mix of leisure and business travelers. A dark wood lobby bar provides a lively gathering place. Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal the outdoor patio and pool areas. Over 700 feet of white-sand beach along the Atlantic Ocean backs up to the resort. Pool and beach umbrellas, cabanas, and non-motorized toys are available to rent. An outdoor swimming pool, spa tub, and Tiki Bar offer ocean views. Use of the fitness center is included in the daily resort fee. The Health Spa and Salon provides massage, tanning, and other beauty treatment programs. Guests can enjoy a game of tennis on one of three all-weather courts. One of the most famous stretches of road in Miami is the Miracle Mile District in Coral Gables. This four-block stretch along SW 22nd Street is a popular shopping area accented by lush fountains and flowers. Small boutiques and major department stores are located here. From the Deauville, its about a half-hour trip (21.5 miles).

The 500 guestrooms in this 17-story, oceanfront Miami hotel—built in 1957—vary slightly in size and view. Many include private balconies with a city/bay or ocean view. All rooms provide compact refrigerators and coffeemakers, premium cable channels, phones with voice mail, and Sony PlayStations. Daily newspapers are complimentary. Guestrooms offer wireless Internet access (surcharge). 

Restaurants & Bars

Café de La Mer - Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can enjoy outside patio dining. Fresh seafood is the specialty of the house.
Tiki Bar - Located poolside overlooking the ocean. Serving specialty drinks, cocktails, and snacks.
Lobby Bar - Busy lobby piano bar and lounge located in the main lobby overlooking the pool. Open from mid-morning till late evening.
Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club - This restaurant/lounge offers live entertainment and dinner service. The club is open evenings, Tuesday through Sunday.

Activities

The resort offers a 700-foot-long stretch of white-sand beach along the Atlantic Ocean. Non-motorized water toys are available along with pool and beach volleyball. An outdoor rectangular pool and spa tub overlooks the ocean.
Complimentary guest membership is offered at the fitness center, which offers aerobics, belly dancing, and spinning classes, as well as four Stairmasters, five treadmills, four bikes, free weights, and a full circuit system of weight machines. Guests have access to three all-weather tennis courts. Golfers play at nearby Bayshore Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course open to the public, located within four miles of the hotel.
