Description / Location

The Sheraton Bal Harbour is set on 10 palm-filled, oceanfront acres across the street from the upscale Bal Harbour Shops. A large chandelier sparkles high above the two-story, marble-walled lobby, where a busy registration and concierge desk welcomes leisure and business travelers. Family-friendly amenities include a lagoon-style water complex with bridges, waterfalls, five outdoor splash pools, a children’s pool, a Kids’ Club activity center, and two spa tubs with waterfalls. A fitness center offers aerobics classes and exercise equipment, while a spa provides hair care, massage, facials, and body treatments (surcharge). Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and pool areas (surcharge for access and services). Set in a lush open-air garden, the upscale Bal Harbour Shops include Christian Dior, Gucci, Prada, Versace, Cartier, Bvlgari, Escada, Ungaro, Dolce & Gabbana. A pedestrian walkway connects the resort to the shops.

Accommodations

This Florida Sheraton offers 645 rooms in two separate towers overlooking the ocean, pool, or village of Bal Harbour. All rooms have Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds, which feature custom-designed, extra-thick, plush-top mattresses dressed with three sheets, fleece blankets, plump duvets in rich colors, and five goose down/feather pillows. Other amenities include minibars, premium cable channels, video-game consoles (surcharge), high-speed Internet access (surcharge), and laptop-compatible safes. Refrigerators (surcharge) and Sealy Posturepedic dog beds are available upon request.

Edible Express Convenience Store - Fast food that includes pizza, rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, and gourmet coffee. Open early morning till mid-evening.

Oceanview Bar and Grill - Poolside bar serving burgers, sandwiches, soft drinks, and cocktails during daylight hours.

Activities

The white-sand beaches and Atlantic Ocean provide recreational opportunities including parasailing, windsurfing, wave running, jet skiing, and volleyball. The resort is wrapped around a lagoon-style water complex with bridges, waterfalls, and five outdoor pools. The Harbour Kids' Club (surcharge) hosts daily supervised activities, including visits to the children’s pool. Aerobics classes, yoga, and Pilates are offered in the Lifestyle and Fitness Center, along with weight training, circuit weight machines, and free weights. Ping pong and tennis are also available. The 9-hole Haulover Beach Park Golf Course is l.5 miles from the resort.
