Palm trees flank the hotel entrance, and a glass wall in the two-story, Art Deco-inspired lobby overlooks an outdoor fountain. Adjacent to the boardwalk in central Miami Beach, the Sovereign Oceanfront Hotel is a favorite with beachgoers and guests in town to enjoy shopping and area nightclubs. The hotel offers direct access to the white-sand beach and Atlantic Ocean, and a daily resort fee includes lounge chairs, umbrellas, and towels for beach use. The fee also covers daily breakfast served in the Courtyard Café. A patio and grassy lawns house a splash pool, spa tub, and hammocks.

Accommodations

The seven-story oceanfront hotel has 105 guestrooms, all with pillowtop mattresses, 25-inch cable TVs, coffeemakers, and dial-up Internet access (surcharge). Marble bathrooms have pedestal sinks. Compact refrigerators and microwaves are available upon request (surcharges).

Courtyard Café - The hotel's daily resort fee includes breakfast with scrambled eggs, bagels, breads, cold cereals, fresh pastries, fruit, juice, and coffee.
Courtyard Lobby Bar - Serving cocktails, beer, and wine from late afternoon until late evening.
The Sovereign Oceanfront Hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area. Nearby restaurants: Bleau View, Café de la Mer, Harry’s Grille.

Activities

A patio houses a 15 x 35-foot splash pool and adjacent spa tub. Hotel guests receive discounted access to a health club next door. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Sovereign provides direct access to a white-sand beach. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels are included in the hotel's daily resort fee. Water-sports equipment rentals such as jet skis and parasails are available along the beach. Adjacent to the hotel, the Miami Beach boardwalk is popular for walking and jogging. Two miles away, the historic Miami Beach Golf Club has an 18-hole course, driving range, and pro shop. Flamingo Park, three miles away, is a public park with a water playground, tennis and basketball courts, and baseball and soccer fields.
