Description / Location

Crystal, the parrot, greets guests from her cage in the lobby of this seven-story hotel. With a style reminiscent of old Florida, the lobby is decorated in sea green, coral, and deep rose. A white baby grand piano is surrounded by seating areas dressed in velvets, silks, and cottons. There are tables, and a small library corner. The property draws vacationing travelers. Located at the nearby Registry Resort, the 18-hole Naples Grande Golf Club is a 250-acre tract designed by Rees Jones—and is exclusive to the guests of The Edgewater Beach Hotel and The Registry. All guests of the Edgewater are welcome at the Naples Grande Resort & Club and have reciprocal signing privileges for dining, recreation, and fitness and spa amenities. On-site, the Edgewater offers a fitness center and a pool. The Naples Trolley stops in front of the hotel, and offers a two-hour narrated tour (part history and part performance) of surrounding attractions. All-day passes are offered, and the tour operates daily.

Accommodations

This Edgewater Beach Hotel & Club offers 126 suites on seven floors. All accommodations have private furnished balconies. Separate bedrooms have adjoining baths with granite vanities, tiled flooring and tubs, large mirrors, and private-label bath products. Adjoining living rooms have queen sofa beds, reading chairs and ottomans, foyer cabinets with mirrors, coffee tables, accent furnishings, and armoires. Kitchens (no stove) with tile floors and granite-topped counters are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, dishes, utensils, double stainless steel sinks, and dinette tables with four chairs. Daily housekeeping services include dishwashing. Other amenities include CD players and video games. High-speed Internet access is available (surcharge).

Restauratns & Bars

Flippers - Shady snack bar with tiled bar and ceiling fans. Signature drinks include Midori Colada and Bananaramas. Open mid-morning to early evening.
The Fountain Cafe - Alfresco dining poolside in tropical courtyard under pink umbrellas. Continental breakfast served in the morning. Salads and sandwiches served for lunch. Selections include Gazpacho, an array of seafood salads, grilled veggie sandwiches, or Edgewater Hot Dogs. Open mornings until sunset.

Activities

The hotel offers a pool as well as a mirrored fitness center that is equipped with cardio/weight machines, towels, water, and a TV. There is also a massage treatment room. Bikes are available to rent by the hour. Edgewater hotel guests have reciprocal signing privileges at The Naples Grande Resort & Club, where guest discounts may be also be available. The 18-hole Naples Grande Golf Club is designed by Rees Jones and exclusive to the guests of The Edgewater Beach Hotel and the Naples Grande Resort & Club. The 250-acre tract includes a golf academy, clubhouse with pro shop, dining area, and locker rooms. The Naples Grande Resort also houses a fitness area with cardio and strength-training equipment, free weights, exercise balls, and mats. Spa offerings include the Vitamin C Antioxidant Facial, a men's facial, and body bronzing treatments. Locker rooms have aromatherapy saunas and steam rooms, tiled showers, and personal care amenities.
