Located on 600 feet of private white sandy beach in Lido Beach just outside Sarasota, this l79-room hotel has been welcoming leisure guests for decades. Its small, intimate lobby has a colorful aquarium as well as a computer station with high-speed Internet access (surcharge). Rooms are situated in seven buildings overlooking the Gulf, pools, and a courtyard. Favorite activities include swimming in the Gulf of Mexico, playing volleyball on the white sand, or lazing under striped cabanas. Non-motorized watercraft, including Aquacats and kayaks, are available for guests (surcharge). The hotel’s buildings wrap around the courtyard and its two splash pools, lounge chairs, and a sundeck. The Helmsley Sandcastle's 179 guestrooms are located in seven buildings. All rooms are accessible via exterior corridors and offer views of the courtyard, Gulf of Mexico, or pool. Rooms include TVs with HBO, coffeemakers, hair dryers, makeup mirrors, and refrigerators. High-speed Internet access is available (surcharge).

Sandcastle Coffee Shop - Serving breakfast and lunch daily, this coffee shop located off the pool area provides indoor and outdoor dining. Breakfast specials include bacon and eggs, quiche, and cereals. Lunch choices include sandwiches, soups, and burgers.
Candlelight Restaurant and Lounge - This restaurant/lounge hosts casual dining nightly. Specialties include filet mignon, salmon, chicken, snapper, grouper, and crab cakes.
Sandcastle Pool Bar - Located poolside, this bar offers sandwiches, specialty cocktails, and soft drinks. Open mid-morning till dusk (weather permitting).
