Description / Location

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the "Pink Palace" was opened in 1928, and although renovated, it preserves the character envisioned by its creator. Today, the resort draws both vacationers and business guests. A sweeping, elevated driveway leads to a reception lobby where bell staff in crisp blue Bermuda shorts and epilated white shirts help guests to the reception area. The colonnaded lobby arcade houses a grand piano and intimate seating areas. The Don Cesar Beach Resort offers two outdoor swimming pools, one with underwater sound system; beach sports, and numerous dining options. A children's program is available for a surcharge, and palm trees shade a playground. A full-service health spa, beauty salon, large fitness center, and shopping arcade are also on site, along with a business center with computer stations, copy and fax machines, and a laser printer. Meeting and event space totals 40,000 square feet. Wireless Internet access is available throughout public spaces and in guestrooms.

Accommodations

All 277 guestrooms at this Florida hotel have white wicker furniture, crown molding, and sky-blue ceilings with ceiling fans. Beds offer triple-sheeting and down bedding. Baths have marble walls and vanities. Some rooms have armchairs and ottomans. Wireless Internet access (surcharge)is provided as are phones with voice mail and complimentary local and long-distance calls. Maritana Grille - Restaurant features saltwater aquariums with over 1,500 gallons of water, home to indigenous fish. Nautical themed decor. Selection of items grilled over pecan and cherry woods includes seafood, shellfish, steaks, and vegetarian fare. Selection of 140 wines also offered. Features the area's only Chef's Table, held nightly in the kitchen for up to eight guests. Jackets are not required.
Sea Porch Café - Walls of windows open to the surrounding beach, trees, and gulf in a garden setting of white wicker furniture and brightly painted greenhouse scenes. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Activities
