The hotel, with its pastel colors, wrought-iron work, and architectural features, has a Mediterranean feel. This family-owned and operated resort offers a cordial and efficient welcome to its guests, whether they're there for a family vacation, a conference, or a wedding on the waterfall terrace. This Florida resort has wireless Internet acess throughout the hotel, including guestrooms. It also has three splash pools for a variety of swimming options, two restaurants, two beach bars, beach volleyball, and 15,000 square feet of meeting and function space. There's an on-site shop for groceries, sundries, and souvenirs.

Accommodations

Sirata Beach Resort has 380 guestrooms and suites in five buildings. Some rooms at the Sirata Beach Resort are accessed via exterior corridors, others by inside corridors. Some of the resort's buildings have central air conditioning with individual room/suite controls, and others have individual air conditioning units. Some rooms and suites have balconies or patios. All guestrooms provide in-room safes, air conditioning, voice mail, in-room video account review and check-out, pay movies and video games, refrigerators, and coffeemakers. Wireless Internet access in available in most rooms. In rooms where wireless access is unavailable, the hotel provides adaptors for wired high-speed Internet access. A refundable deposit is required for Internet access.

Restaurants & Bars

Mangrove Grill - Serves Floridian-Caribbean dishes, including coconut shrimp, conch chowder, grouper sandwiches, and Cedar Key jerk chicken, as well as vegetarian selections. Located next to the video arcade, the café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Children's favorites (chocolate-chip pancakes, pizza, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, hot dogs, and hamburgers) are on the menu.
Durango Steak House - Open for dinner during the week and all day on Sunday, the restaurant specializes in oak-fired cooking, whether it's shrimp with chipotle dipping sauce, salads, (steak or chicken), steaks, prime ribs, ribs, chops, chicken, or fish. The bar offers 28 kinds of margaritas.

Activities

Sirata Beach Resort has three splash pools, two spa tubs, a fitness center, and beach volleyball. A water sports kiosk arranges sunset sailing cruises, snorkeling and shelling trips, and parasailing (surcharge). Complimentary beach volleyball and shuffleboard equipment are available from the front desk. Guests can fish from the beach for mullet, tarpon, and redfish. Dolphins can be watched from the beach or on commercial dolphin-watching cruises.
