Guests of this resort are eligible for complimentary Disney’s Magical Express Service – motorcoaches take you from Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort hotel, while Disney picks up your bags and take them straight to your room. What to expect: Understated opulence starts with bell-service attendants in pastels, white shoes, and knickers. The beautiful lobby reaches five stories to a Victorian ceiling adorned with three illuminated stained-glass domes, ornate chandeliers, and metal scrolls. Rooms are in the main building and in four- and five-story white-frame buildings around the swimming pool. The monorail is a luxury for travel to Epcot® and the Magic Kingdom® Park. The resort’s spa is adjacent and includes a fitness center. Two of Disney’s finest restaurants—Cítricos and Victoria & Albert’s—are adjacent on the hotel’s second floor. A pristine beach stretches along the waterfront with old-fashioned beach umbrellas decorating the white sand.
Accommodations
This hotel offers 867 rooms surrounded by tropically landscaped gardens on Seven Seas Lagoon, across from the Magic Kingdom Park. Most rooms have balconies. Decor includes Victorian accents, pastel colors, printed wall coverings, light-wood armoires, marble-top sinks with period fittings, and 19th century–style woodwork. High-speed Internet access is available for a surcharge. Coffeemakers and microwaves are available on request, and refrigerators are available on request for a fee.
Restaurants & Bars
Cítricos - This upscale restaurant offers Mediterreanean-inspired cuisine in a beautiful, 190-seat dining room in sun-drenched Provençal colors, with an open-air kitchen. Modern, flavorful dishes that change with the seasons are its forte. The restaurant includes a private, glass-walled dining room that seats as many as 10 guests.
Victoria & Albert’s - The crème de la crème of Disney dining, this is Central Florida’s only five-diamond restaurant, with a seven-course menu that is customized daily and an award-winning wine list. Open for dinner only, the intimate dining room seats just 53, and features a harpist each evening. The coveted Chef’s Table in the kitchen must be booked months in advance.
