4* Wilderness Lodge
Descrition / Location
Guests of this resort are eligible for complimentary Disney’s Magical Express Service – motorcoaches take you from Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort hotel, while Disney picks up your bags and take them straight to your room. A long, winding road marks the way to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which is nestled among towering pine trees. Leisure travelers and families enter the resort through its soaring eight-story lobby complete with totem poles and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook rock formations and winding streams. Native American carvings and decor add to the authentic feel of the lakeside lodge. In addition to the 12-story geyser that shoots into the air on an hourly basis, the lodge has an outdoor pool with a waterfall and slide, hot and cold spa tubs, a fitness center, and a marina with boat rentals and fishing excursions. On select evenings, guests meet at the lobby fireplace for a round of storytelling.
Accommodations
The Disney's Wilderness Lodge has 727 guestrooms located in two wings on either side of the lobby. Rooms feature private balconies or patios, and have views of the surrounding woodlands or the resort's inner courtyard. Décor is reminiscent of America’s historic park lodges, with Mission-style wood furnishings, colorful patchwork-quilt bedspreads, and armoires accented with animal drawings and nature scenes. All guestrooms have tables and chairs as well as separate writing tables. Both air conditioning and ceiling fans are provided. Bathrooms have hair dryers and refrigerators are available upon request.
