Description / Location

Filitheyo has been developed with careful consideration to its environment. The islands interior is covered in dense tropical vegetation, which provides a welcome shady canopy. Small paths wind their way through the interior of the island, leading to beautifully appointed rooms that have been designed to blend harmoniously with their surroundings. A beautiful beach runs down either side of the island ending in a calm sheltered lagoon offering safe swimming at the islands western end, in front of the pool and sunset bar. With its great house reef and excellent diving, well-run Mandara spa, Filitheyo is the near perfect Maldivian island.

Accommodations

The resort has 121 rooms in total. The majority of rooms on the island are semi detached superior villas. Their stylish interiors incorporate floorboards and teak furniture and come with A/C and a private front deck overlooking the beach and sea. Double bedrooms have a four-poster bed. There is a discreet safe, mini fridge, CD stereo player and satellite TV in every room. The partially open-air bathrooms are almost as big as the bedrooms. They have a small garden area and a slate-surround hot water shower that is open to the sky. Superior villas are spaced well apart from one another around the islands edge. All rooms provide hairdryers and bathrobes.  There are also Deluxe Villas (15) & Water Villas (16)
Which provide more space and privacy.

Restaurants & Bars

There are two restaurants on Filitheyo and two bars. The main restaurant offers an award-winning buffet whilst the sunset bar and restaurant at the western end of the island offers an a la carte menu. There is an excellent choice of both international and local dishes supplemented by the occasional beach barbecue. A good selection of drinks are served at the main bar and sunset bar.  Beach and Desert Island dinning is also available.

Activities

Filitheyo has a swimming pool with decked terraces overlooking the ocean. In addition to diving, a selection of watersports is available that includes catamaran sailing, canoeing and windsurfing. A small air-conditioned gymnasium, billiards room and table tennis are available.
Mandara operate the spa on Filitheyo that provides a range of massages and treatments.
