Located 62 miles from the male’ airport, Nalaguraidhoo is the most breathtaking and picturesque island in South Ari Atoll. Considered as the Maldives’ most noted luxurious resort, and premier resort in the chain of five Villa Hotels. Sun Island, has been noted for its beautiful setting, not an easy undertaking to keep but graciously living up to the mission. Located along the islands beautiful beaches are the choice of beachfront super deluxe, deluxe or over water bungalow rooms. Its amenities and furnishings are terrific. It’s over water bungalows are spectacular in design, richly chosen and enhanced by striking ocean views that captivates the soul.

Accommodations

Sun Island measuring about 1.6 km in length and around 380 meters in width has 350 elegantly furnished guestrooms, including 68 water bungalows, out of which, 4 are Presidential Suites, 218 Super Deluxe Beach Bungalows and 136 Deluxe Room. All Deluxe and Super Deluxe Beach Bungalows are built on the beach ensuring a direct view of the shore and sea. All Water Bungalows are built on stilts in the lagoon overlooking the vast horizon of either the sunrise or sunset view, from your private deck.

Beach Bar - The most convenient bar for the water lovers, located near the windsurf school providing fruit juice and alcoholic drinks.
Club Green House Bar - Set amidst the corner of the lawn area in the heart of the island where you can quench your thirst. A great location for pre and post dinner drinks.
Guraamuli GRILL Terrace & Bar - Offering Fresh Catch of the Day, collection of Seafood and prime meat in a picturesque location near the beach, also known to be the popular Grill Terrace for the BBQs of those who join our fishing trips.
Lobby Bar - Personalized service in a quite and comfortable setting for special meetings and discussions. A wide selection of wines, beverages, cocktails and champagne to check.
Maaniya Restaurant - Open daily at hours stated below for the guests accommodated on board inclusive terms. The meals are served in Buffet style. The beverage menu covers a wide choice of world wines, fresh and canned juices among other regular premium beverages.
Mekunu Bar - A wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Exclusively comfortable, facing the lagoon, the resorts main bar offers thirst-quenching exotic and colourful international cocktails with a variety of entertaining programs and animations.
Ristorante Al Pontile & Bar - Al Pontile (meaning "the jetty") - with breathtaking view of the resort's house reef serves traditional Italian cuisine and Japanese specialties in a Novel Italian Elegance.
Southern Star -  perfect setting for guests wishing to linger over morning coffee and afternoon tea while sitting under the palm trees. A Specialty restaurant for clients from over water bungalows. Offers a Specialty Indian Menu for those who like spicy food.
Sun Star - Mouth Watering Thai and Oriental delicacies from an exclusive Reef top restaurant offering a magnificent view of Sunrise and Sunset over the Indian Ocean and fascinating Romantic dinners under the twinkling Southern Cross.

Activities

We provide a wide range of sports and recreational facilities with modern equipment and experienced instructors. These include floodlight tennis, basketball, volleyball, electronic games, squash, indoor badminton, table tennis etc. Amongst the exciting water-sports activities available are scuba diving, wind surfing, catamaran sailing, and canoeing just to name a few.
A large swimming pool measuring 1800 square meters and children’s pool is set amidst exotic landscaping. It extends right to the edge of the lagoon. Towards the end of the pool is a swim-up bar.
