Belle Mare Plage The Resort, situated along one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast of the island, offers an extensive range of amenities. It is an ideal location for novice or professional golfers with its two 18-hole Championship Golf Courses.

The resort is situated directly on a 2 km long white sandy beach. Set in tropical gardens of almost 15 hectares. Two 18 holes Championship golf courses stretch for another 140 hectares. The beach is protected by an offshore coral reef making it ideal for swimming, watersports and snorkelling.

The Belle Mare Plage is dedicated to the quest of providing total client well being. Wherever you are: in your room, on the beach or in a restaurant or bar, this resort has been designed to offer the feeling of spaciousness and permanent contact with nature.

La Citronelle - Tropical and Italian buffets, grilled steaks and seafood with a hint of Asian flavour are all on offer in the hotel’s main food hall.
La Spiaggia - Intimate restaurant offering uninterrupted sea views and a selection of Mediterranean dishes prepared using fresh local produce.
Blue Penny Cafe - Gourmet restaurant with dark-wood furniture and white table linens, boasting a staff of international chefs and an extensive wine list.
Deer Hunter - Fine-dining restaurant located in the clubhouse, serving European and Thai fare with a Mauritian twist.
The Swing - Situated at the Links club, this informal 19th hole offers a selection of salads and sandwiches for golfers wanting a quick bite at lunch.
Indigo Beach - Beach restaurant offering views of the lagoon and serving lunch and exotic cocktails.
La Kaze - Beach-goers can pick up a pizza, steak or sandwich for lunch from this casual restaurant, which also offers afternoon tea and pancakes.

Activities

There are four swimming pools with sun loungers; a fitness centre with a gymnasium, bodybuilding equipment, sauna, cold plunge pool, hammam, air-conditioned squash courts and open air Jacuzzis; a Shiseido beauty pavilion offering a wide range of massage and body treatments; daily sports programme; nightly entertainment with live bands and shows/cabarets; and a recreation counter for the organization of activities such as catamaran trips, deep sea fishing, quad biking, canoeing, underwater walks, parasailing and submarine rides.

Belle Mare Plage is the perfect hotel for families. Children receive a welcome present on arrival while the parents are presented with the new brochure ’Travelling with children in Mauritius’.
The Kakoo Club at is the place to be for children aged between four and 12 years old. This is where they make new friends, discover new adventures and enjoy a large variety of leisure activities under the supervision of a professional team.
Accommodation at Belle Mare Plage The Resort, from the standard rooms to the suites and villas, is comprehensively equipped with quality amenities for babies and children such as cots, bathtubs and walkie talkies as well as lots of toys!
The resort offers a 24-hour babysitting service (payable), high chairs and special menus for babies and children in the restaurants and car seats for excursions on the island.

There is the Clubhouse of the “Legend” 18-hole championship golf course including a Golf Academy with Marc Farry-Hugh Baiocchi method.  A second Clubhouse is located 5 minutes away (free shuttle) at the “Links” 18-hold championship golf course.

Other land sports include 4 floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, 9 holes of mini-golf greens, French bowling and beach volleyball.

Watersports included are  windsurfing, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, sailing, snorkelling, pedalo and water-skiing. There are also a number of motorised sports you can pay for locally, including a PADI scuba diving centre.
