This luxurious five-star hotel is set within 60 hectares of unspoilt land, amidst rare and luxuriant vegetation. An isolated peninsula surrounded by white sand beaches and a calm lagoon, brings to guests a unique emotion, an experience where spicy aromas blend with the perfume of the warm ocean.
Guests can relax in the swimming pools (one outdoor and one for children in the mini-club), surrounded by sun beds and located on the edge of the white sand beach. Situated in the hotel’s gardens, the fitness centre reflects the calming architecture of the hotel, and has a squash court, gym, sauna, spa tub, plunge pool and steam bath. “Body Doctors” can offer instruction for men or women of all ages and capabilities and there is a massage room for reflexology, shiatsu, ayurvedic and aromatherapy treatments, as well as a Guerlain Institute beauty spa. The library is stocked with books, magazines, newspapers, and CDs available for guests to borrow free of charge. There are three boutiques for clothes, jewellery and souvenirs, and a hair salon. The business centre has facilities for printing, photocopying and email, as well as a board room for meetings. Secretarial services can also be organised. Practical amenities include a 24-hour front desk, concierge, round-the-clock room service, limousine and helicopter transfers, and free parking.
Accommodations
76 Junior Suites
In buildings of a maximum of 8 suites with thatch roof, 10 ground floor/beach front facing and 8 on stilts on a natural fish reserve. They comprise of one bedroom with a sitting area indoors and a terrace or balcony, one bathroom with double vanities, separate shower, wc and bath. Junior Suites with connecting corridors are available.
12 Senior Suites
Individual thatched roof villas, nine with private heated swimming pool and located on the beach and three on stilts overlooking a natural fish reserve (no swimming pool). Senior suites are one-bedroomed, have a living room with dining/sitting area with adjacent shower and toilet, walk-in closet, outdoor soaking bath and terrace.
Princely Suite
The suite comprises of two junior suites and one senior suite. Inside garden/patio, guests wc, mini kitchen for staff use, terrace/dining area and two swimming pools. Located directly on the beach in a secluded part of the hotel grounds that offer utmost privacy, the Princely Suite also benefits from three individual terraces each facing a different part of the lagoon.
Restaurants & Bars
Guests of the Le Prince Maurice enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning.
L’Archipel Restaurant - Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving an à la carte menu of light, spicy gourmet dishes. The restaurant overlooks the pool and beach and guests can dine in the dining room or on two outdoor deck areas.
Le Barachois - A gangplank leads through mangrove trees to this unique floating restaurant which overlooks a natural fish reserve with views of the mountains. Open daily for dinner serving grills, seafood and Mauritian specialities.
The Beach Deck - This restaurant of 40 place settings is situated on a wooden deck located near the beach. All the furniture are made of wrought iron. Le Beach Restaurant is open for lunch with an à la carte menu and special event evening.
Laguna Bar - Light snacks, exotic cocktails and drinks served al fresco by the pool with views of the sea, and to the accompaniment of light music in the evenings.
Lounge Bar - Adjacent to L’Archipel restaurant serving aperitifs and after dinner drinks with pool views.
Fitness Bar - After a tennis or squash game, a session of yoga, boby building exercises and jogging, the Fitness Bar will be happy to offer you a large choice of vitamin cocktails.
Activities
As well as two floodlit synthetic grass tennis courts, water sports including kayaking, windsurfing, snorkelling, pedal boats, waterskiing, sailing and canoeing are all available free of charge at the beach. For golfers there are two 18-hole championship golf courses, The Legends and The Links, with no green fees for hotel guests. For a surcharge, guests can go scuba diving and enjoy catamaran cruises, boat trips, tennis lessons and fly-fishing. For children aged four to 12, Les Petits Princes kids’ club has a games room, dining area and private pool and is open all day. Supervised indoor and outdoor activities are organised daily and children's menus are also available on request, as well as babysitting facilities
