Description / Location

The Beach formerly the Royal Oceanic is located at Ethukala, Negombo, 35 minutes north of Colombo airport. The Beach is a beachfront hotel located just 3 km from the fishing village of Negombo, set amongst palm trees in two and a half acres of grounds. The Beach is the first 5 star hotel to be located in Negombo and offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation in this area. The hotel offers 75 deluxe rooms and 3 suites with private butler service.
 
Accommodations

There are 75 standard-deluxe air-conditioned rooms all with sea views and a balcony or ground floor terrace. The bathrooms have powerful showers and bathtubs. The suite rooms are enormous with a sitting room, dining table for in house dining and a Jacuzzi. There is cable television and personal DVD players are available on request. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Restaurants and Bars

There are two restaurants on site; The Sands restaurant for casual dining, and 'Black Coral' for fine formal dining. The menus include specific vegetarian options aswell as healthy choices. In the mornings there are buffet facilities and there is a Bar on the terrace
Beach BBQ for Al Fresco dining as well as a Wine cellar

Activities

An excellent spa with steam baths and plunge pools, offering a variety of aromatherapy and Ayurvedic massages and treatments. A fine dining restaurant provides a refuge for foodies and there is also an excellent pool bar offering snacks and a main restaurant for buffets. Three bars. Email and Internet facilities. Baby sitter and cots on request. Two swimming pools. A fully equipped gymnasium. Tennis court, squash court, table tennis table and billiard table. Diving club during the winter season (Dec to March). Live entertainment takes place on some evenings, or if you fancy a change of scene, numerous restaurants, bars and jewellery shops lie a short stroll from the hotel. And if you can’t quite escape the outside world, the hotel’s business centre has fax, email and internet facilities.
